the £1.50 is for small fish and chips at lunch time only 11:30 - 2pm

the regular size is £2.00 anytime.

may I add.
[mod]#3
So, they've put the prices up to celebrate the same thing they celebrated last year????
Odd
#4
Prices of raw materials are have increased a lot in the fish and chip trade.

Well that seems cheap for regular size as it costs £4.50 at least in Northumberland :x

Our very own detective hard at work. :-D

We have a few chip shops in my home town - the best for fish is over 5 quid for a battered fish supper. There are others under 3 quid but the fish isn't as nice, and the portions are smaller.

Try £6.00 for just a regular cod down here. Now THAT's expensive.
#11
Both local's to me charge £5.50. Glasgow city centre has lots of deals and cheaper ones though.

One local is far better than the other despite the same price. Really nice fish but maybe not that generous with chips, however, more than made up for with the fish - you get two!
#12
Heat up the fryers, I'm on my way. I'll be about 3 1/2 hours.
Hopefully it won't get too cold on the way back.
I suggest we start a convoy in Birmingham.
#13
ahh king kod, i remember this when i was at uni at preston!
#14
how much for postage?
#15
about 5.50 here too =[

oh well i don't like fish too much,

anyway cheap for those who are in preston!

Thats because yours would be top quality cod, this one would be catfish or some other weird fish.

Notice it says fish and chips, not cod & chips or haddock & chips

I was in Portsoy, Banff recently and was charged £6.50 for cod & chips - outrageous price! voted hot.
#19
absolutely useless for me, but still a hot deal, and now I'm hungry, which is a good thing.
thanks
#20
Damn the disadvantages of living down south.

Can't be bothered to list the advantages though. We could be here all day.

And the relevance to that is?

I know a chippy called the right plaice, they dont sell plaice :whistling:

To sell for this cheap its not any decent fish, itll be catfish from vietnam thats been raised in polluted rivers.

If you buy some, take a wiff of it, itll have a faint smell of ammonia ;-)
#22
Bargain i remeber when they did this last year the portions are decent size and they fish is quite tasty :-)
#23
So what is so special bout this chip shop then?
#24
seems a bit fishy to me
#25
They had an offer last year. Queues round the block!
#26
Can I use quidco for this?
#27
What about sauces?
What about wooden forks?
More detail required before i can vote hot!
Also, the product photo viewed on my netbook makes the portion size seem very small. Can anyone else verify that this is a lifesize photo?

yes its great in the south, your able to sit in traffic all day, and just a stones throw away from london, how exciting!
#37
Do they do scraps?

I love scraps but none if the crappy chippys in Liverpool do them.

Pubs don't really count, you'll pay £10+ for reasonable fish and chip sin a pub all day long!

£10 from a shop would be pretty steep though!

I lived in Reading (Calcot & Tilehurst) for 7 years. It was a right hole and the chippies don't do gravy.
Anyway, I now live very close to preston, and I shall be partaking in this offer.

And don't hold back on the gravy! mmmmmmmmm
