Telephone wise technology has advanced leaps and bounds since I was a child. To a child this generation this probably doesn't resemble a phone as they know it!

What network is it on? Just seen its a cashback deal as well

My daughter has one of these but she doesn't play with it at all...like is said above she doesn't understand what it is cos it doesn't resemble current day phones! Fortunately Nannie only wasted 50p on it at a car boot!

Thanks :)

These are not exactly the same as the originals. There's no wood used. A good reproduction though and my kids enjoyed it. My 1 and 2 year old don't have their own mobiles yet so are happy to play with this for what it is!

Sorry, but that's just a rediculous thing to say

If you show her what to do with it and how to play with it, then she will understand what it is and how to use it ;-)

Both reviews on Play complain that the cord is far too short so that should dispel any safety fears

my son got this for xmas and the reviews are spot on. It is a waste of money... unless of course you cut the cord!

Had one of this before, cord is bit annoying.

Manufacturer can't win with this product.

Chord will either be too short to be any use or too long and pose a safety risk in which case it wouldn't pass checks anyway.

bought one of these for my daughter for xmas shes 18months and gets very annoyed as when she wants to talk on the phone the cord isnt long enough to put it to her ear and ends up with the phone in the air also and she ends up getting frustrated and throwing it!!
good nostalgic toy though

Just before xmas there was a novelty shop that had the Fisher Price Retro Classic range. Firebox had them http://www.firebox.com/product/2115/Fisher-Price-Retro-Classics not sure where to get them now.

Brilliant bought one for my sons 1st birthday! Thanks

Two different cords are getting confused. It is the cord to pull it along and make the eyes wiggle which is long. The curly cord from handset to phone is incredibly short - a child can not use the handset without lifting the whole phone off the floor/table. My ordinarily placid son found this infuriating - we got rid of it as cutting this cord would just mean hours of looking for the handset!!

I had one of these when i was a nipper. With the long cords. It is a miracle that I'm still alive today.
