Although a very good deal at this price, we bought one last Christmas and we were really disappointed with the pics it produces. I know it's just a kids camera so you shouldn't expect much and it's more about it being robust that the picture quality but we ended up giving our 3yr old a budget digital camera instead which he's more than capable of taking pictures with. I appreciate this is a much simpler camera for a kid to use but would just advise that the pics are very low resolution and really grainy and even our kids noticed the pictures weren't great.

What cooper77 says is very true. We were given one of these the other week and the picture quality is poor compared to the 8 year old 2MP Fuji Finepix our 3 year old has been using without issue for the last year or so.

I agree we have the other one from VTech and the quality is rubbish BUT they're perfect for just giving to kids to get on with it, if you can closely supervise then a cheap good digital camera is the way to go, hey my old Canon A40 2Mpixel still takes better shots than these.

I'd add our 8 year old Fuji has two main buttons- on/off and the shoot button. Very easy to use.

I did reserve at blackpool, but a collegue who works near a Costco has said the vtech kidizoom plus is in stock @ £30 (plus vat) gone for this as the reviews look a bit better, 2mp instead of 1.2 and games and stuff as well.
If anyone wants the reservation number for blackpool (pink and blue reserved) just shout....otherwise I'm sure it will be back available tomorrow.

I was looking at these as well, but was put off by the picture quality as its the same spec as a very early mobile phone camera. The newer Vtech model now has a 2mp camera has anybody used one of these ones?
