I've had one for three weeks, it needs charging every 7 days.

Not sure if that's the problem you refer to
#10
It is normal for them to be charged every 7 days and the fitbit links wirelessly to your mobile phone app.

The accelerometer is an iPhone is just as good and if you've got a 4s or never it won't drain your battery, check out argus app

My iPhone doesn't sit too well on my wrist. Maybe I can get a new 6 and bend it round my wrist?

Annoying. Ordered it from them last week at £59.99

Buying just before Christmas is usually not a good idea unless you really need the item.

Loooooool

I bought this earlier this month and I have to say it is awesome, although the iPhone 6 does a similar job the problem was I don't have my phone everywhere with me!

Also this monitors your sleep which I find extremely useful.

Link this up with MyFitnessPal (had initial linking issues) and it is a perfect health kit to get you motivated in January.

Battery lasts just under a week which is handy.

You will need a 6 plus for that.

I got one of these last week as I do a job that involves a lot of walking but thought it was useless as it relies on you moving your wrist to record movement. If you have your hand in your pocket or are pushing something it won't record it. I just felt it was unreliable. I had to take it off when sitting down too as it recorded every movement. Not for me.

Fitbug Orb for £24.99 from Sainsburys is a no brainer. when compared to this product. You get multiple wearable options (clip, button, key chain and watch strap) plus you get a device with a battery that lasts a continuous 6 months as opposed to requiring a charge.

I know this wont help much but Tesco did them 10 quid cheaper on black Friday. So while this may be the cheapest price ATM they can go cheaper still.

I agree, how this got to a 149 degrees and the ORB that I posted for 24.99 didn't is beyond me.

People paying way over the odds for a tracker that doesnt even track when your hand is in your pocket. I can click the orb to my chast, pocket, pants, shoes, inside my jacket, on my wrist and on my key chain and it will still track perfectly fine.
#23
For those that are going to slay me about going on about the Orb. I ask you to check the 60 second advert out and tell me the Orb isn't a better device than the Flex and at almost 40% cheaper for a limited period!

Thanks to the peeps bringing the Orb to my attention... Looks like something well worth looking into! Never heard of them before.
#26
The fitbit charge hr is coming out at the start of 2015. Worth waiting for the extra features and a screen that displays information.
#27
I've got one. Love it. Had a fitbug before. Not sure what I prefer tbh
#28
Have a look at the fitbug instead it's cheaper & better then fitbit and jawbone.

No worries mate. The Orb was a product made by a British company 9 years ago that targeted the healthcare industry. Just this year, they recently opened their product line to the commercial market and are doing well.

I suspect most will hear about the Bug this coming year as Samsung has selected them as a health partner - Expect to see the bug software built-in to Sammy mobiles with a free exclusive Kiqplan plan (more on that later).

The Fitbug offers a variety of hardware products but their killer is going to be discovered by all this coming year - KIQPLAN for iOS and Android.

If you want to know why Fitbug is going to kill the market with Kiqplan, just forward this next video to 30 minutes and 40 seconds to watch the founder of Fitbug tell you why fitness trackers such as the Fitbit, Jawbone and all others are kinda useless.....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0vIsz3FQ5o&feature=youtu.be

Here's an excellent short video showcasing the exercise portion of the app in action:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VjIQqn6FbU

And here is a more in-depth review of the 'Slim and Trim' Kiqplan (a good video to show you what more it does that show you exercise routines)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0YBcp4_drE

Kiqplan comes in four flavours so far - 'Healthy Baby Bump','Slim and Trim', 'Goodbye Baby Bump' and 'Beer Belly Blaster'. This is a genuine 12 week weight loss plan from Fitbug (excludes the exclusive one for Samsung owners). I believe they are looking to introduce more plans throughout the year.

Looks great, thanks for the pointer on that.

Is that only available instore at sainsbury for that price? (Boxing day sale i guess?)
#32
Ive bought 2 online and 1 instore for that price but I am guessing it is a sale price for the Christmas period and back to 49.99 thereafter
#33
Just a huge heads up - If you buy £60 worth of goods - you can use the £15 off voucher from Sainsburys!

2 Orbs Plus Watch Strap pack for £60.00 (minus £15) = £45.00
3 Orbs for £75 (minus £15) = £60.00 (meaning each device is £20.00 each excluding delivery)

So basically if you are smart, you can get 2 orbs and a 3 pack watch strap pack for less that ONE fitbit flex. Someone else can post this if they have the time.
