with the recent 1.5% base rate reduction and potentially more to come. I've recently pulled some money from my offset mortgage (as mine tracks base rate + 0.49%) to pour into one of their bonds to 'tart' from the higher rate.

KRBS 1 year and 2 year fixed rate bonds have sold out and will to be withdrawn with effect from 5.00pm on Thursday 20 November 2008.
The Society will review the rates of both the 1 year and 2 year fixed rate bonds and new rates will be effective from 1 December 2008.
All applications must be received by close of business Friday 28 November 2008. Whilst an application request is usually sent out on the same day, the Society will not send any fixed rate bond applications after Thursday
20 November 2008 and fixed rate bond applications will also not be available to download from this website.
If you have requested for an application form or have downloaded a form by 5.00pm Thursday evening, your application will be honoured and you have until Friday 28 November to return it to us.
Please note that applications received after close of business on Friday
28 November 2008 will not be accepted."

I use http://www.fsa.gov.uk/tables/bespoke/SavingsAccount to comapre savings accounts , always seems to be up to date.
Abbey Instand Acess Saver (special edition) seems to be a good deal paying 6% on balances of over 1000 as long as no withdrwals mad that month, branch based. Interst rate to change 1dec though includes 1% year bonus.
