fished for the first time on holiday (cuba) and loved it... live near a river would this be an ok starting set? wouldnt mind getting into fishing now i am home?

OP is this any good for carp fishing you reckon?
tbh if your targeting big carp (double figures) you'll want from something with a little more grunt.
For the odd single figure carp you should be fine as long as you set the drag and take your time.

£27 a year, £3.75 a day or £10 for 8 days and has been for as long as I've been fishing.
Remember you don't need a license if your sea fishing which includes tidal rivers which this should cope with.

Anyone buying this kit will also need to pick up a few essentials like degorger and/or forceps, spare hooks, a few wagglers (floats), shot and no-barbed hooks as well as fishing license and passes (not many free fishing areas outside of the broads)

I have recently got back into fishing via this offer and managed to get my little brother into it on his very first ever cast with his own aldi offer rod the little so and so went and landed a lovely 3lb pike from Manchester canal
