Shivers

Actually you can easily make a solid gaming PC off a proper 450W PSU (no problems running 7850 etc off one). The problem here is people buying into shady marketing, that PC is HORRIBLE, and it's anything but a gaming PC...I seen someone from AVforums falling for it too. Do your research guys or prepare to get conned.

was just reading thought this thread looking for a monitor.. im glad you said this! ;) else i would of lol 450w is fine for gaming!

Why are you getting worked up for?? Chill

I need , or rather want, hdmi because of the little space I have to make use of at uni and many wires I have that will take up space. I am trying to cut it down hence why I would prefer hdmi.

Dell AX510 Soundbar Speaker for Ultrasharp and Other Monitors with Pass Through Connector
Had been saving up to get a U2410, but at this price tempted by the U2312HM
Wanted it for photo work, so not sure if the U2312HM would be accurate enough.

Would this be a good monitor for doing professional photoshop work on?

At this price point, as far as I am aware, there is no better IPS monitor. If this is all you are looking to spend then look no further. This will suit your needs.

A little more than the Aria one, but some people would prefer Amazon's after-sales service? Yes there's cheaper 23" IPS monitors, but this has much better build quality, excellent stand, dead pi…

Yep, but I think you have to pay the courier costs
can I return it if I won't like it?
RMA it? Dell will swap out a new one for you...
Received mine yesterday but could hear a high pitched noise coming from the back even when the monitor was turned off, no good for a bedroom as I had to unplug it last night.
OK, so I have an Xbox 360 and a GTX 560Ti graphics card. I'm not sure what to connect them to the U2312HM with? My graphics card doesn't have a Displayport, it only has 2 DVIs and a mini-HDMI port. What will be the best options?

I can see this thread is 4 weeks old. But incase any one still looking for this monitor
Quidco have 20% off 23" and 24" Monitors + 6% cashback, direct from dell.

I have two U2312's for video editing work. Awesome quality.
Thanks for that.
It was £207 last week; why on earth didn't I buy it then?
Have a feeling it'll go down with Amazon (although it went up by a fiver last week too, lol).

Hope is a dangerous thing

Darn it; when is the u2412m ever going to go down by around £30-40.
Been waiting patiently for eons now it seems.

Good deal on this though me thinks.

The U2412m is £212.99 @ Aria at the moment, £25 cheaper than I paid in December for it.

How does this compare to the U2412M @ £232.92? What does the H stand for in the U2312HM?

I doubt it! Laptops don't have the juice to power the resolution. As fas as I know none come with a Dual-Dvi output. A few have mini Displayport, but that's pointless in this case as the Catleaps, etc don't have the input :)

Thanks.

From further digging, the CPU graphics can do it.

Looking on eBay I can get a displayport to Dual Link DVI for around £40.

I wonder if the laptop can drive the new screen and its own (1600x900) at the same time!

I know the "Cat Nip" style monitors require dual link DVI and the pages indicate they require dedicated graphics.

Has anyone managed to run them on a laptop with HD3000 Intel Graphics? My laptop has two DVI ports in its dock (Dell Lattitude E6420)
