'Flashdance' - 'What a feeling!'
The visual and musical box office smash 'Flashdance' is the exhilarating story of Alex Owens (Jennifer Beals), a fiercely determined and beautiful 18 year old woman who works as a welder by day and a dancer at a local bar at night.

The film sparkles with the music of the 80's including the hit single sung by Irene Cara 'Flashdance – What A Feeling' and 'Maniac' sung by Michael Sembello. We follow Alex's struggle to gain independence, find love, and realise her dream – to dance at the Pittsburgh Conservatory of Dance.

'Footloose' - 'He's a big-city kid in a small town. They said he'd never win. He knew he had to'

'Footloose' jumps with spirit, dazzling dance numbers and an electrifying musical score. It portrays the timeless struggle between innocent pleasure and rigid morality, when city boy Ren McCormick (Kevin Backon), finds himself in an uptight Mid-Western town where dancing - and therefore all youthful joy - has been banned!

Ren revolts with best friend Willard (Chris Penn) and the minister's daughter (Lori Singer). The story is played out alongside a treasury of Top 1O songs - Kenny Loggins' 'Footloose', Shalamar's 'Dancing In The Streets', Deniece Williams' 'Let's Hear It For The Boy', Bonnie Tyler's 'Holding Out For A Hero', and the 'Footloose' love theme 'Almost Paradise'.

'Pretty In Pink' - 'Blane's a pretty cool guy. Andie's pretty in pink. And Ducky's pretty crazy - He's crazy about her. She's crazy about him. He's just crazy!'

Andie Walsh (Molly Ringwald) is a bright, sensitive girl with a second hand wardrobe and three men in her life. First there's her father (Harry Dean Stanton). He doesn't work and has been going steadily downhill since his wife left him. There's also Ducky Dale (Jon Cryer). He's a pal of Andie's and he's got an intense, unrequited crush on her. Then there's Blane McDonough (Andrew McCarthy), a cute, rich preppie. He and Andie come from opposite sides of the tracks. So when they fall in love, the differences between them (he drives a BMW and she's ashamed of where she lives) brings problems to their romance. This 80s teen movie written by John Hughes features a terrific rock score.
