I would avoid these. I bought some before Christmas at £6 a wiper and while they were excellent the mount is made of plastic and not metal. As a result when I turned my wipers on the other day to clear some snow which a normal wiper would have easily dealt with, it just snapped.

I went to poundland and got some for my Freelander!!! Bargain :)

wiperblades.co.uk is a good source. there own brand aero blades got 4 out o4 stars on atuocar testing. £12 for both front ones on a zafira.

Dont expect your wipers to clear the snow m8, you will burn out the wiper motor & theyre sometimes a pain to replace. clear the screen first.
Maybe the plastic was brittle due to the extreme cold?

It must have had a full tank of fuel too I would guess!

I've got a Mondeo Mk III which uses three different lengths of blade, so I get mine from Wikinson's for £1.99 each. They probably don't last as long as the branded blades, but at that price, I can afford to keep a complete set unused in the car ready to go if one or more starts playing up.

One thing I would recommend, though, is keeping the existing plastic clips rather than using the ones supplied with the blades - none bar the originals seemed to give a snug fit!
#16
bought these and they are crap, got it replaced and that smears and does not clean the screen properly.

Yeah I think I saw you - covered in snow with two peep holes where the wipers swept the screen. Lazy git - clear the snow off all windows and lights first so you can see what you're going to hit!

If it hadn't broken the clip it probably would have blown your fuse - or wiper motor. Wipers aren't designed for that.

When I used to have Bosch ones on my screen used to be crystal clear in the rain, felt like it wasn't rainging. These Tesco ones smear the screen, really winding me up when I'm on the motorway and can't see anything...are the poundland or wilkinsons ones any good????????????

Hahaha ....go on have a guess:p
#21
post a review of the poundland ones people, or have you all been killed because you couldn't see out of the windscreen because wipers were bad???
#22
anyone seen any about in poundland recently?
#23
The Tesco regular ones ( not the flat type) are crap too.. They just smear the screen.

Oh... and never buy the multi blade type ( those that have 4 or 5 edges) - as often seen in pound shops. They hold water , so freeze to your screen really easily - and are very difficult to prise off. They are crap at wiping the screen too.
#24
Careful buying the ones packed in pairs, not all cars have the same size on the driver & passenger side.
#25
bought some bosch super plus £6.50 for the pair for the other car from a ebay seller, they wipe fantastically!

I have the flat ones on my car and the driver side wiper does not wipe around a third of the screen towards the end of the wiper (in the middle of the screen) and at high speed, the water left behind comes over towards the driver side. I have exchanged the wiper twice now and this is on the first day of use with all three of the wipers, so there must be a design fault with them....

Think I'm going to give them back and demand a refund...
#26
finally returned these and bought a pair of bosch super plus. looks like the problem is with my wiper arm and the end of the driver side wiper does not touch the screen properly either, so it looks like the tesco wipers were fine!
