looks really smart but bit expensive imo

My auntie has this and paid over £100 when it first came out at littlewoods, and it is a really nice and fab unit! Very modern looking, xxxx

But be aware: you do not recieve the brackets to attach the tv to the stand, and you have to purchase elsewhere, and they are a bit pricey at £30! xxxx

Just this fact regarding the brackets would put me off buying this item, you would think that when a company is selling a TV stand they would supply everything that you need!! Thanks for the advice.

It only saysn that the mounting screws are not included. The bracket is part of the stand

these stands are usually over £100, this is a great deal. Also you dont really need the brackets as most tv's can screw into the back of the stand.

It could be that the sockets were fouled by the brackets. A couple of reviews on the site mentioned this happening, so maybe that's what the problem was

I bought a very similar one from them about this time last year and paid about £60-ish. I wanted it for a 42" Samsung Plasma. All I needed to buy were some longer hex screws for mounting as I didn't trust the the length of the ones that I removed from the original tv stand. I opted for 15mm and they cost about 40p. However, please beware on my version the brackets are covering some of the inputs and meant that if I wanted to connect certain equipment I would literally have to remove the tv from the stand, which obviously is a real headache. I can't say either way whether this design error in the stand affected any other brand of tv or if it has been fixed on this more uptodate version. On a plus point it is superb looking, looks like it cost much more than it did and is very substantial. I have no fears of the tv toppling over even with a 3 year constantly running around.

We bought this stand the last time it was mentioned on here ... For the same price as OP has mentioned here .... It was delivered on Thursday, and it's fab!

We've got a 42" LCD on it and didn't have any problems with the brackets (which were included) being in the way of any of the leads.

We did have to supply four fixing screws, but fortunately we already had some the right size in the shed, so all was good

Cheap but looks horrid IMHO. Will be a nightmare to dust too and it will a b1tchto hide cables behind all that glass. Minf you, I have kids so might biased!

I think the last time it was posted it was the same price at Very , but £83 with littlewoods so no change really
#17
I was just thinking it looked like a bit of a monster ---- glad to see others concurred.
#18
is that back panel transparent or opaque? if its transparent it would look horrible with all the cables hanging down.

I dont see the point in this unit. It mounts the TV too high. The optimum height for a TV is to have the centre of the TV at the same height as your eyeballs. The optimum position for a pair of HIFI speakers is to have the cones at the same level as your eardrums, hence why Floorstanding speakers are similiar in height to being sat on a chair, or a bookshelf speaker on a speaker stand. And why do so many people mount TV's above the fireplace or high up on the wall, its not natural. Just thought I'd view my comments, Ciao for Now.
