shame it's only 8 days...10 or more and I would have gone for it!
#2
nice price but I'm going to South Africa on the 18th - 4th May 08.. anyone know any super deals for that?
#3
Great price, but need more days ideally!
Are any other dates available for around the same price?

Thanks,
G

Fantastic deal! Voted HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Normally tickets for 7 days are around £300 mark but for the EASTER holidays couldn't get any better.

Thanks Stephann!!!!

VOTEDDDD HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!

For info: In 2008 the Easter weekend will fall between Friday March 21st and Monday March 24th inclusive. Some schools have their 'Easter' hols in April, but this is not Easter itself.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to find any days for a similar price (although you can barter them down to £270 ish if you want to depart on 11th April and return 2 weeks later).

The reason this is so cheap (other than it's the end of peak season in Goa) is because this was part of a Travelzoo offer that, when unbundled, produces a nice flight deal.

site seems to be down

Brilliant price, voted HOT!

Sorely tempted to book it.
#9
Looks as though it is fully booked. Have just tried the site and for this flight it says (for both journeys) "No Availability"

I'm still able to checkout with the flight in my basket (although the search system seems slow). So I reckon it hasn't quite expired yet.
#12
Excellent price, but it's a hell of a long flight for a charter airline.

pakistani guy - stop spamming and get a life. Goa is a great tourist destination (from experience) and if you get a decent hotel on the beach, you wont regret going there. And at this price, it is smokin' hot.

^ lol @ the bitter pakistani (above Amz)

.... voted HOT, as it's definately a good price but yeop it's a shame about the unflexibility of the dates.. I'm off to Goa for new years though ;D

nice price if you plan to leave goa and go exploring. I certainly wouldn't stay in goa though. Full of tourists and cyderdelics.
#18
goa is in india, pakistani guy doesn't like india - because of the divide between the two countries! wouldnt say it a racist remark to the country but along the lines!! in my opinion any way
#19
Nice one Munda! lol - Is that guy bitter or what?
#20
I loved Goa, but I did go at this time of year (April) and it is coming into the monsoon season, we didnt get the rain but it was unbearably humid i usually love the heat! but couldnt be out of the pool for longer than 10 mins, sunbathing was out of the question. Was a great experience though and an eye opener but beware the weather at this time of year!
#21
Ring them and you can get them to lower the price!! I've just done that. Cheers to the op!

@natD
lol...well said...
yep..goa is a treat to visit....but yes...in april you are talking about temperatures around the 35-37 degrees mark...and with above 70% humidity...it will not be pleasant...nevertheless a great deal for someone who wishes to visit goa...voted hot...

I'm a teacher, and it's not in my Easter Holidays. Would have booked straight away if it was. Good spot, though.
#25
is this still working?

iv imputted everything but doesnt do anything

I like Goa but I first went about 17 years ago and loved it.....very quiet and unspoilt, then for a second time 4 years ago....much busier, noisier and with more hassle. It isnt a dream beach long haul destination....no clear blue seas for instance and sunbathing on the beach just invites hawkers to hassle you all day. Cheap to eat but you have to pick your place carefully for hygene etc.

In my opinion the appeal of it being an unspoilt destination has been lost and there are better places to go. Its also started to attract the long haul 'chavs' being quite a cheap destination.

I also went the Kerala about 4 years ago which was like Goa was 15 years ago. Probably a bit busier now though.

Finally, having been a few times to Southern India......11 hours is an awful long time on a charter plane unless you are able to fly with say First Choice or Thomson that have the extra leg room as standard.

This is simply my opinion...others will have their own views so please dont take it personally.
#27
how hot is it in april?

whats the price range of hotels?
#28
Would Goa be a decent place to use for a landing place to explore other parts of India? Would this be enough time to see Taj Mahal, Ganges shrines, etc?
#29
Fantastic price without a doubt, but please bear in mind Monarch have terrible, terrible seat pitch - one of the worst in the industry at 29" (the same as Easyjet). For long haul flights this is unacceptable in my opinion, and having flown with them once, I vowed never to again.

There's a full list of seat pitches here if anyone is interested:

Goa is in the south whereas the sites you probably want to see are more northernly. Its about 2.5 hours flight from Delhi and flights are not as cheap as you might think they would be. I wouldnt recommend flying to Goa if you want to do an Indian tour for instance.

I flew with first choice in April about 6 years ago, the flight out was nearly empty probably an 1/8 th full, we had rows of seats to ourselves!! Coming back was busier as many of the English workers were coming home as its the end of the season.

Alchemista Taj Mahal is a £100 return flight to Delhi then a train ride.Goa is good for a base if you are staying in India for months. I rent apartment in Goa for £125 a month with swimming pool and 2 balcony. Then when i want to go see the "real India" i just book a cheap flight with Spice Jet airways.

Cheekywelshguy. Its much too humid in April ,February is a great month to go . Last year i went from 5th Feb till 26 May and May, it was just unbearable, the humidity just knocks you out and laying on the beach is a no no as its too hot .I have my own scooter out there and it was too hot to go out on it !
