atirical US drama Flight of the Conchords follows the trials and tribulations of a two man, digi-folk band from New Zealand as they try to make a name for themselves in their adopted home of New York City. The show portrays a fictionalised version of a real-life duo, Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement, who play themselves.
Bret and Jemaine have moved to New York in the hope of forging a successful music career. They've managed to find a manager (whose "other" job is at the New Zealand Consulate), one fan (a married obsessive) and one friend (who owns the local pawn shop)--but not much else.

I think you have malfunctioned. I think that the binary solo is:

0000001 00000011 000000111 00001111

We used poisonous gases. And we poisoned their asses

Awesome - you've just reminded me about the new season - haven't even started watching it yet, and we're 5 episodes in! catch up time :-D
#10
Awesome. Heat added.
#11
As a huge fan, this is definitely HOT. Season 2 however, has yet to kick in for me, one week its good one weeks its not.

The first season is a classic, and whilst there are some good episodes and tracks in season 2, it'll struggle to be as good as S1 was.
#12
Aw Murray you would'nt swear at us!

Heat added cause this is probably the funiest TV Series I've ever seen! Series 2 is a bit hit an miss however which I'm a bit disapointed with!

I was also gutted that this DVD doesn't have ANY extras at all. It's just the 12 episodes, nothing else. I love extras, would have loved come commentary or outakes/bloopers.

I hope they release a boxset after series 2 that's packed with extras. I've held off buying this DVD for that reason. I've got all the episodes on my PC so I'd really not be benefitting at all from buying this.

I feel series 2 is building up to be excellent, the songs are back to their best, for example Hurt Feelings and Sugar Lumps are Epic!

Mel has been brilliant this series!

I think the main problem for series 2 is that the first season used their classic songs they'd been playing for years, even before their BBC radio series... whereas for season 2 they've had to quickly write a bunch of songs in a few months... also, while I thought season 1 was excellent, season 2 feels a bit weaker and rushed - not much is happening which hasn't happened before and been funnier the first time

I thought last weeks episode was the best. The friendship chart one.

Did Jermaine just call me a dick?
Did you call Jim a dick?
Yis
Yis he did.
Eugh dont tell him!
#16
Then on our next date you could bring your room-mate
I don't know if Stewart's keen to but if you want we could double team you
#17
Eminem is not very good, Mos Def is not very good, Snoop dog, is not very good but the rhymenoserous and this box set, is very very good!
#18
Absolute comic genius!

worth this price for Hiphopopotumous vs Rhymenocerous alone!

Yes series two is nowhere near as good as the first so far, episode 1 was poor, episode 2 is great, cant really remember much of 3 and 4.

Sinjay: It's a great speech. Too bad New Zealanders are a bunch of cocky A-holes descended from criminals and retarded monkeys.

Jemaine: No, you're thinking of Australians.

Bret: Yeah, that's Australians.

Sinjay: No no no. New Zealanders. Throw another shrimp on the barbie, ride around in your kangaroos all day.

Bret: No no, that's Australians...

...and CHalligan :p

When petitioning HBO to make a third series of this... (since all the lead actors have movie roles now..(including Murray!)) I remeber the quote...

'when your unemployed, nobody sympathises... so you just stay at home and play sympathisers!'

They were forced to construct season 2 in no time at all, whilst season 1 took many years of 'construction' :whistling: > 0001... including the BBC radio series and studio album

Yes, affirmative, but mine was a freestyle jam.

On the topic of Season 2, I've also been somewhat disappointed, although there are occasional gems like Dave's story about how some rappers "cut one guy's whole body off, and left just the dick."
