Why would anyone really want this .....i don't understand why someone would have to waste free time on this pointless junk......oh well ,I guess some people have too much time to waste lol
Pretty much the same as how you're wasting your free time coming in to this thread and making that comment, really.

Or differences in hobbies. My dad used to take us to watch the planes at the airport with his radio listening to flight traffic control. He loved it I hated it but I wouldn't take the **** out of someones interest

I bought the app ages ago when the 10p Android sales were on (just because it was 10p).

I havent really found a use for it yet but when sitting in the garden with a beer in the summer & seeing a plane flying above me & being able to check where it was flying from/to and how high/fast it was flying was rather cool.

Even just as an example of what consumer tech can do you have to admit its slightly impressive.

Brilliant app, I'm in no way a plane spotter. This is great for tracking late flights when collecting family or colleagues from the airport. Search by flight number and it'll show you exactly where the flight is with an accurate ETA, much better than the airports crazy guess at arrival time.

It's the same price on ios app store so you might want to include it in your title. Thanks op.

I've worked in the railway my whole life and could never understand the train spotters and why they do what they do but would never take the p!ss. everyone to there own I guess.

it's 1\3 is original price so heat from me as it's a deal for someone.

So you really can't conceive a scenario where someone with relatives or friends etc, on a plane, would like to know how they are doing on their journey?????????

As an ex air traffic controller, this app is used by both plane spotters and aviation professionals. The chap who takes us to the airports for our holidays now uses it to find out the progress of his next 'pick up'..

Fab. Waited for this. Might be able to track the vulcan next year.

Nice to follow track and location of flight from Asia, where things don't run on time, so this little app can tell you every minute how far your loved ones are from joining you in here in UK

So it's a paid app, and then there are in-app purchases to get the features that I assumed were in the paid app. (Now I read back, it did say so, but still...)

The app is niche. If you don't understand those that want it or indeed you don't know why people would want it.....that's OK.

I have it and I like it. I will soon be able to check if there are any possible delays on a flight I have booked as I can track where that plane is coming from previous to me boarding....geekish I know.....I love it!

So when you're next to somebody at the airport and he can tell you more details about why you are not boarding your plane yet after a 2 hour delay, unlike Thomson, who would not have any clue...you may understand the app.

Different things to different people. Pastimes don't you love 'em. HOT :)

No I am not kicking myself, have never owned an Apple device and never will, I genuinely have not heard this term, I am however the wrong side of 20.

There are over 1300 deals on this site alone that reference IOS, not judging just surprised you havent come across it.

I live directly below one of Heathrow's turning points for its approach.... Very addictive to see the planes on flight radar and then out the window moments later. Depending on the direction of the wind, I can see a plane every minute sometimes

Been tempted by this in the past. Good price!

If you have this take a look at the East coast of the USA, its amazing how many planes there are in the air at one time

Fab. Waited for this. Might be able to track the vulcan next year.

I'm not sure you can. It can't track aircraft with military type radar transponders so unless XH558 has a modern civilian transponder, you will be out of luck.

You can track xh558, just search FR24 for G-VLCN and she will show up when in flight :p
