Cheapest they've been for a long time and plenty of return flights from London, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow (maybe others). For departures until mid-June and for stays of 7, 14 or 21 days.

These are hand luggage only and note that they often don't include departure fees from the foreign countries (around £38pp from Mexico) so factor that in. Hold luggage is something ridiculous like £35 per bag each way and hand luggage is max 5kg. Last time I spent two weeks in Mexico I went hand luggage only but had to wear all my t-shirts when collecting my boarding pass. ;)

Still, a great deal for direct flights and I've never seen Puerto Vallarta this cheap. If you can go at relatively short notice, get on it!!

We've booked a holiday to Puerto Vallarta Mexico next month, & the exchange rate is not that good, can I convert my pounds / US dollars (from previous holiday) in Mexico or is it best to exchange before we go?? Any advice would be great , Thanks

I think the exchange rate is pretty good at the moment. Yes, it has been up to 27.5 MXN to the pound in the last year or so, but historically it was 18-21 MXN to the pound for a long time. 24 is decent.

You might get the best rate withdrawing pesos from an ATM in Mexico, depending on your debit card provider. Though, word of warning if you try that, last time I flew to Cancun my card wouldn't work in the ATM at the airport. Luckily I had just enough pesos from my previous trip to get a bus into town and use a different ATM there. I was fine after that. So maybe get a few pesos in the UK before you fly.

Wholeheartedly agree with Rodhull above. We've had 9 holidays in Mexico in the last 8 years, and 24 Pesos to the pound is about as good as it gets. When we first went there was about 18 Pesos to the pound (and 12 to the dollar). Shop around for your Pesos, some places on the high street only give 22 to the pound, others 24 right now.

I think I'd rather just pay £70 for a proper suitcase than look like someone with serious mental health issues wearing 10 t shirts and living out a carrier bag worth of stuff for a week. Your travelling to the other side of the world £70 on top is nothing

So people who want to save have mental health issues?

Most UK foreign exchange outlets don't convert the Mexican Peso so you either take loads of £ or use ATM's when you get there. Use a fee-free card and be aware that ATM's are surprisingly rare; I have seen large queues for an ATM in Puerto Vallarta. Also, 24Peso to the £ is still very good - it's just that it collapsed for a short while after Trump was elected due to his anti-Mexican campaign rhetoric.

I know it's tricky to speculate, but anyone reckon there'll be a similar offer available in July? Seems that there have been a lot of last minute offers recently.
