As a cold voter, i'd like to declare my bizarre notion that cold-voting can somehow deter others from parting with their money. Perhaps I feel it's my way of sticking it the Government in its futile attempts to stimulate commerce from occurring. I dunno.

I'm just an idiot.

(Voted hot BTW. £26 return flight to Prague is ridiculously cheap.)

Just paid £163 for two (including using up 1500 airmiles) so this is a deal. I get better dates, but I'd rather save £100 :( Damn you for posting this too late!

There are also Wizz Air flights to Ukraine, very cheap, posted it. Wasn't voted too hot though!, don't know why. One way from Kyiv to Luton is about £12 :). Outbound it ismore than £70, so under a hundred return.

Word is, Wizz wont start operating from Prague till May. They are making a new base there but no way will it be fully operational by 20 February. SkyEurope.com currently offer Luton - Prague and are highly recommended, or Czech Airlines offer full service return for £90 all in via click4sky.com.
If your planning an essential trip or booking hotels and other stuff, might be better off waiting till Wizz do actually begin flights. They have already cancelled many of the planned Sunday flights.....

No point. Under the 1974 Consumer Credit Act you`re only legally covered for transactions over £100.

They are very cheap the flights to Ukraine. I paid £ 200 just for a connecting flight once from Riga when i went to watch Everton play there. Just one thing we didnt need a visa when we went but does this statement indicates on Wizz Air's site you when travelling with them.

Please note that passengers travelling from Ukraine must be in possession of a valid visa to enter the destination country.

Should you fail to show evidence we will refuse your carriage, cancel your reservation and deny your boarding and refund the Total Fare after deducting the amounts of the fee for other Services and the Seat Protection Fee. As Wizz Air does not offer connecting flights, the transit exemptions under the United Kingdom’s Transit Without Visa (TWOV) program are not applicable to Wizz Air’s passengers.

I once had Wizzair flights from Bournemouth to Katowice (pl) booked... anyway 3 weeks before departure I noticed a partial refund in my account from Wizzair. So I called their 70p/min line and was advised that they wouldn't continue operating that route anymore, and my tickets had been cancelled without notification to me (lucky I check my bank statements daily!!).

To make things worse, the bus tickets I'd purchased as part of the ticket (Katowice -> Krakow) weren't refundable from WizzAir, as apparently that was operated by some other service. I argued the point that I wasn't going to write to Bournemouth airport to get my £5 that goes to the baggage handler back (etc) and that I wanted the whole 100% amount paid back to me, so that I wouldn't have to chase every party concerned for their portion of the cost. They wouldn't back down and so I had to get the remainder from the bus company who refunded about a month later..

In summary..

- My tickets were cancelled with no notice to me (I would have turned up to the airport if not for checking online banking daily and noticing a credit on my account)
- Refunded amt wasn't the complete amount I'd originally paid to WizzAir --- supplemental bus journey which was part of the original payment had to be refunded separately, and I had to chase this up myself to get the refund
- I had to get similar flights from BA, from Gatwick, about 2 weeks before departure, thereby incurring a large extra cost to me. I'd booked a hotel which had been paid upon reservation immediately after the original flight booking, so i was constricted by these dates of travel.

I checked online with a search for instances of Wizzair cancelling flights at the last minute and it appeared that this was a frequent occurrence.

Be warned..!

What an ignorant thing to say. You could do with these flights to see the world and develop some informed views.

To address people's questions about accommodation: when I was in Prague with my Girlfriend we stayed in 'Hostel Tyn'. It's really not like any other hostel I've been to, it's basically a cheap hotel. If all you want is a room for the night then it's fine, but a bit characterless. Very central though, you could jump out the window into Wenceslas square.

And no... we weren't tortured to death.

How much is the total cost without the torture?
I have a bit of a bad back and the "extras" may cause a problem.:?

At least in Britain, when we subject people to horrendous conditions, its for a cause. Like making clothes for Primark. ;)
#25
does the price include baggage?
#26
wrong - i have had ALL my many chargebacks succeed (RBS, nationwide) and most were under £100. Only if under £100 will you not be entitled to compensation.

Yeah good point, i am also carefull crossing bridges as you never know if there is a Troll underneath.. although i think they were all relocated to internet forums during the late 90's.

Good cheap deal but be VERY careful when you are there, went last year and of our group of 5, 2 got mugged and one had his drink spiked and had all his belongings taken, and this was less than 100m from the old town square, the supposedly 'nice' part of the city.
