I do not trust Lidl enough to eat their meat (hehe!), let alone provide me with a device to stop my skull getting bashed in.
Cue comments such as "snob" and "******"

The sharp guide on the net will provide you with a list of budget lids that got a 5 * rating.
They include £80 nitro lids etc...

I wouldnt trust anything less than a £100 lid with at least 4 * sharp rating.

A helmet is just not something to scrimp on, please guys buy a reputable half decent one!

There is little or no correlation between what you pay for a helmet and how well it protects. However, it is well worth checking SHARP data, etc and that is unlikely to be available for helmets such as this. I'd err on the side of caution. You can get some excellent helmets under £100 though. My Caberg flip was about £80 and scores 5 stars (ie max), better than many £300+ helmets.

The european testing for helmets is tougher than anywhere else in the world. I don't thing there's a 'naff' class when it comes to lids, just 'not as good as _____'

You may be right but as some E approved helmets only get 2 or 3 stars I'd like to be able to differentiate.

Still better than a good one which doesn't fit properly or is old or dropped though.

Bought one of these yesterday must say very impressed with the quality and features. They also throw in a free visor as well.
Didn't see anything about a 3yr warranty though.

There is a review on a german website which gave good comments.

New to bikes and need a lid, wil this one be british kite mark approved?

Edit: Just checked the site it seems they are grey not black.
