Actually a really good radio, but it's too easy to leave switched on. The batteries run down and they're a pain to replace (being in a waterproof compartment).

Who the hell puts that much water in their bath? If you were on a water meter you'd have ruined the saving you'd make on this radio after a week.

If I was designing this thing I'd put a "float switch" on the bottom. If it was floating then the radio would be on, if it was resting on something (eg the bottom of the bath) then it'd be off.

Hmm.. to the patent office!!

These were £2.99 in Homebase in January...mines knackered already!!

This looks identical to the one Currys are selling here. I got it for £4.99 instore and I have seen them recently so they are still knocking about if you can't get one from Argos, although you cant reserve for store collect at Currys which I don't understand. Had mine 3 months now and its still working ok although I haven't tested it on the water! :)

I also bought mine from homebase for 2.99 - fantastic too!!! I leave mine on the side and as it has never seen water directly, it plays perfectly daily for 10 minutes on the same batteries it had in january...much better than the really naff shower radios that you stick to the side of the cubicle...had three of those which all died very quickly!!
