Flood Toilet Seat Argos Outlet £9.99 + £1.99 P+P £11.98
New with 12 month warranty
Toilet seat and hand pump.
Simple and easy to fit in one minute.
The air tight seal prevents sewage entering the toilet.
Size (H)26, (W)30, (D)8cm.
Now I have no idea why this woud be useful to anyone, I thought the whole point of a toilet was you wanted Poo to go in it and if your bathroom was flooded with poo anyway youd want it down there rather than elsewhere but I guess Horses for courses!
Went to 279 degress when posted on here a while ago! http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/flood-toilet-seat-medium-argos-ebay-21-1010554

Is there ever actually a risk of flooding from your toilet :P I've never heard about it, seems like a lot of hassle considering I would probably get home in the dark and end up with super splash-back due to some stupid plastic seal i forgot I had!

Forgive me if I'm wrong or if I have completely missed the point - I think these are used if the surrounding area in which you live is flooded and are fitted as a precaution. If the sewage systems and drains exceed capacity I think it is possible for toilets to flow in the opposite direction.

The irony of having your bathroom nice and safe, and then having it float up through the sewers and into your house anyway? :P
Not sure I'd trust it personally, anybody used this and not wished they'd just called a plumber? :|

You're absolutely right. I used to live in such an area and paid about £50 for one of these.
Heat added.
Fair enough but you would need to seal every single plug as well then surely as if its getting as high as the toilet and all the waste water goes out the same pipe as it does in most houses it would just increase the pressure on it coming up through your plughole if it cant get out the bog? Strained sieved poo coming out of your plugholes lol!

You learn to leave the plug in :p

I think if it takes a hermetically sealed pressurised seal on the bog to stop it, a simple plug with no pressure on top of it keeping it down isnt going to last long! lol
so where will the sewage go then?
