Home lighting inspired by the beautiful game.

Desk lamps are rarely anything to get excited over, but this Floodlamp Desk Lamp is far more unique than most of the desk lamps on the market. Even if you're not a major football fan this would be an interesting light to add to your desk. Especially if you enjoy nice clean lines and chrome accessories. It also appears as if it would illuminate any task you might be working on extremely well since it's packed full of six bulbs.

The head of the light can swivel around, so you can shift it instead of the whole lamp when you need it pointed in a different direction. It stands 510mm tall, to give you an idea of how it will look standing on your desk. It uses six 25W bulbs to keep the lamp shining brightly.

I'm glad it's far more unique. I wonder how unique it would have to be to be unique?

It is a good lamp I got one last time they were this price on play.com

However be aware that it doesnt come with ANY bulbs. and takes 6 E14 screw ins.

After getting mine I realised and searching the web found that most sites selling the lamp (but NOT play.com) do admit this in the product details.

I got my bulbs from Ikea cos I was there anyway and paid premium to get flat fronted flourescent bulbs, so it does actually look like a flood lamp... but that cost me about £20 in bulbs

Cheaper normal globe bulbs would have cost about £10 for the set of six

Good price.. i've had a placement order on this as a 'temporarily' OOS for the last 3 weeks; looks like they've got the new stock in, fulfilled the orders they already had, and then put the item back up as in stock for £3 bloody quid less! Wish i'd canceled and re-ordered now (too late, as it was dispatched just yesterday, apparently!).. ahh well

Do like this but I think 150w for a desk lamp is a tad ott.

This looks awful and like it would cost a lot to run! 6 bulbs! (not included!?) to light your desk!!!, if you are actually lighting a desk with this thing.!

Looks like it would be ideal to run a little display. Say, an Arsenal display in a home bar. =D

Tempted, but the bulb thing ruins it tbh.

"It uses six 25W bulbs to keep the lamp shining brightly."

Nice idea but VERY cold, the bulbs cost around the same as the whole lamp and at 150w would cost a small fortune to run! It's a shame it doesn't come with LED bulbs.

Thats 6 25W old style bulbs, the bulbs I bought from Ikea were of course the new style 7W equivalent of 25W... so 6 of those actually does give about the right amount of light for a desk / work lamp...

But yes still costly! :)
