Just browsing First Choice website for holidays, and found this bargain. Not suitable for me, but hope someone can book this up at this fantastic price!!

It's two weeks in Florida (Sanford) from London (Gatwick) departing Friday 17th April, return flight departing 1st May. Remove the voluntary contribution to bring the total holiday cost to £368.96. Based on two people, so just £184.48 each.

Includes return flights and car hire. You'll have to hunt around for a hotel/villa, but they seem to be pretty cheap too.

Thanks for that, hadn't realised. Still a good deal, though, I think?

Just noticed, you can book the flight only part of this deal for £164 - can't be bad for a return flight to Florida?

Might be worth checking out Thomas Cook as well, if anyone's thinking of booking, as they might be slightly cheaper, even though they charge a £30 booking fee.

How is £20 a day a good price just for insurance ? lets say it is the basic £20 a day thats £280 for the 2 weeks, you can rent a car INC insurance for 2 weeks in Florida online for £230!!

Just booked flights to go out that weekend for 21 days at under £160. Just book a flight - I wouldn't even pay a pound extra for the hire car - its a rip off.

There are times i really hate this site, like now, I would love to go but the Mrs wont let me/us go without the kids and 2 weeks out of school isnt gonna happen.

Hello,
I am in Orlando right now and that is a great deal..
Flew Thomas Cook to Sanford from Gatwick for 2 weeks , staying at the quality Inn Plaza on I-drive which is the main hub for Universal,Sea World,Disney Etc.

Cost me around £895.00 each for the wife and kid + Car Rental + food + £440.00 for unlimited entry into the parks...Dam those school holiday prices..

If you can go then get out here at that price. but be warned this place sucks your wallet dry.

Will vote hot.

Why on earth are you on hukd while on holiday in Orlando? I think you've got an addiction problem.

can anybody tell me how to remove the car option from this deal. The insurance is expensive I think. Only flights seem to be an attractive option.. thanks
#23
I wouldn't even bother with the car; don't pay for the extra insurance (min £273?). Go through a company like US Rentacar where you can get an economy car for around £220 including insurance. Just don't bother picking up the car from First Choice  It may be only £50 saved but it's money you can spend over there!

When I checked yesterday, you could just go the flights only section of the First Choice website, and you could book the flights only for about £165 per person.
#25
Either remove the car hire option or do what I did last December and just turn up politely decline the First Choice car hire having already booked through eBookers. I ended up with a decent enough motor and it cost me £40 less than just the First Choice insurance. The car ended up coming from Budget and the eBookers price was £30 quid less than I could have got it on their website.

For those of you that are going have a fantastic holiday. Wish it was me.

I have booked two seats on 18/4 at £250 which I thought was a good deal. Book car hire thro' Netflights and do a deal on a private Villa.

Should do holidays to Orlando on NHS, I think.

Great deal, its a shame my Daughter hasnt got a passport yet or we would be all booked up already! Hopefully they will have an offer like this again.

Remeber you have to add EXTRA car insurance (normally around £20 to £40 PER DAY)

Fed up with this and people not knowing...You don't HAVE to buy the extra car insurance. You are covered by insurance but it is like third-party only (except more extreme). You don't get theft, or it someone keys the car etc covered. What is covered is only the third-party, and you are liable for all on your car. You can refuse to take out the extra insurance (at your peril) and they WILL push you HARD to pay for the higher insurance, but you can just say NO...

I took the insurance last time I went because I knew that I was visiting a number of fun parks and that the car could get scratched and or broken into in the car parks, and I was parked over on International Drive in Orlando. However, when I am out there on business, going between a nice hotel and my office I do not need this insurance...It is a calculated risk that I take.

But please, if you don't want it, don't take it (although you tend to get an upgrade free on the car when you do take it). I sometimes use it as bargaining...If I know I want the insurance I will ask for an upgrade and then I will take the insurance...They usually have no problems with this (they make the money from the insurance rather than the cars).

Hope this helps someone.
:-D

Yes please know what you are talking about before posting. This is 100% free, that means it costs nothing

It's a great deal, the pound is weak compared to Sept 07 (when I was out there) but it's still cheap over there! But when it was $2.10 for a £1 that is unusually high.

What a brill deal, shame we've booked this year's hols already!
