This is cheap as chips

£800 each?! I hope that's fully inclusive and staying at a high end Disney Hotel. Ouch!

This is very cheap indeed. We are off to Miami in June and paid £380 for the tickets alone with Virgin, which is the cheapest we've seen them for a while with prices increasing at some points.

Staying on South Beach isn't cheap either, but it's a shade less touristy than Florida (and I can't wait!). Can't find fault with this deal though - brilliant one for families!

Ah, December is peak season in Florida apparently, with 'Northerners' heading south for the winter.

Went for 3 weeks last year in the last week of November to 15th December. Was busy in the parks for the first week around thanks giving but the first 2 weeks of December were quiet as anything. Walked straight onto most of teh rides at universal and just kept going round.
Was the first time I've been but my other half has been before and couldn't believe how quiet it was. Another example of wait times was Everest in Animal Kingdom - usually about a 2 hour wait at peak times, we were on it within 20 minutes. Great time to go, would definately go back again that time of year!

Cor not bad then that. I have been told Miami peak is December time, so perhaps Orlando and nearby is different? Who knows - fair play to you though - headaches avoided there!

I go on this website to look at the pictures people have took (if this is the right hotel) http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=Quality+Inn+International

Good price. For that price you could just use the flight then hire a car and go elsewhere in Florida if you didn't want to stay in Orlando. I've seen a number of deals for June, so guess it's the lull before school holidays (Scotland starts end June).
December is peak time in Florida from week before Xmas to New Year being crazy busy, with Jan also busy on the Gulf Coast. I usually stay for 3-4 weeks Nov / Dec and it is great. Not too busy and not too warm.
I'm just back, weather was very hot and a bit humid, but was still great.
South Beach in Miami Beach, is busy all year round and it is as big a tourist haven as Orlando - just a different type of tourist as not a place for kids and for some reason VERY expensive and not great value. Still, Ocean Drive looks good.

Last week I got tickets to Miami for £232 each flying on 31st August with Continental for 10 days.
I think there was a US sale on Expedia at the time.

We'll stay in Miami for 1 night then drive to Naples and stay for a week and then 2 more nights in Miami before we fly back.

Surely, that was worth posting here?

Universal Studios/IOA are a 10/15 min walk from that hotel!! Wet and Wild is practically on your door step!

We paid a lot more through Virgin for October, flying into Orlando, first week there, miami for a few nights then the keys for a couple... then back out of miami...

We were planning to go at the beginning of September 1st or 2nd departure date, but hubby suggested we go on the Monday (which is a Bank Holiday, and I thoight it would be more expensive).

When we changed the departure date to 31/08/09 the price dropped from £358 to £232.

The next day he told a colleague at work who went online and entered the dates that we had chosen, and the price had gone back up, so that's why I didn't post.
