    Oh not you AGAIN!

Yes, you are correct, I work for Monarch. Well done.

And if you look at my other deals I also work for Thomson when I'm not at Monarch. You know, sometimes I just get confused when I go to work at the airport and, LOL, I really goofed once when I got in the driver's seat of a Thomson plane and flew back to Gatwick when I was actually on duty for Monarch at the time!

It was so embarrassing but once I'd explained the confusion to everybody back at Gatwick it was fine - we laughed about it, laughed out loud as it was so funny and, as all agreed, an easy mistake to make! Boy did we laugh.

    Sadly not the passengers though as they were supposed to go to Glasgow. Meh, some people just don't seem to have a sense of humour nowadays........................................:{

All of the prices I've posted above are from Gatwick. Just follow the link and change your departure airport and date as follows, or play around for other dates for prices.

    Glasgow - choose 20 September
    Manchester - choose 21 September

    Hope you find something good!

And PLEASE - no comments about kids being in school! We all know that, but some people have pre-school kids and/or don't mind taking them out for a couple of weeks.

I'm just posting this deal as it's a good price for those that WANT to go with their kids.

Lol! It's only because Monarch keep sending me emails about their deals! I really don't think you can argue with these prices really - a lot of operators are easking the same amount, sometimes more, for a week in Spain or the Canaries for the same time!

I'm not going there again myself for a while - looking to go to Vegas/California in September.

Just want to share these deals with people so they can discover the wonders of Orlando and Florida!

Yeah, I know two people that have said that. But the vast majority of people that go there go back again and again - we've been 9 times!

Thing is, both of these people went in late july/early August and no wonder - it's like hell on earth with the heat and queues everywhere for everything! September seems to generally be considered the best time of year to go.

Each to their own though - there are some places I wouldn't dream of going to that many people do. It's a strange ol' world!

Are the only deals for 4 people?

Loving these posts for Florida, I have left it too late to take the kids while still in primary school, so will have to do it if possible in Aug 2015! Im dreading the summer holidays there, but my eldest will be starting comp that sept so if we don't do it before then we will be looking at waiting another 10 yrs lol Really hope deals like this pop up in 3 yrs!

Just quoted 20th sept 14 nights for 2 adults 3 children, came to £4566 and that included car hire with fully comp insurance, 14 day disney for 5 of us, 2 park universal studios for the 5 of us, 3 park sea world ticket for the 5 of us and the space center for the 5 of us! That would be plenty of days out from them! Mad how cheap you can get it really. Always expected a £10k holiday with the 5 of us!

Please take a look at all of the advice and tips in a previous deal I posted - see post 1 above for the link.

There are lots of ways to save money if you know how.

If it helps, I've often seen very good deals to Florida at the middle to end of August. I posted a couple of deals 2 weeks ago where you could just sneak in before the kids go back to school (in England & Wales that is - not Scotland as they go back to school mid August there).

You may have to miss the first 1 or 2 days but as an example the deals I posted were around the £2,000 - £2,400 mark for the same as above - the whole caboodle, flights, baggage, meals, hotel, car etc. for 2 adults and 2 kids.

Compare that to late July & early August and you'd pay probably £4,500 to £6,000 for the same thing.

So if it helps, historically I've seen these deals mid to late August each year for at least the last 5 years.

    Why don't more people wait????

Personally I wouldn't go for any less than 3 weeks especially if you are first timers, doesn't normally make that much difference to the price.

Hmmm, that's strange. It came up with Glasgow when I searched.

I've gone into the Monarch site and just selected flights and select Glasgow as the departure airport and the only destination option is Orlando (Sanford). But when I go to select the flights it comes up with only Manchester and Gatwick as options? Weird.

Same with Newcastle, the only flight option from there is Sanford but when you search for flights it again only comes up with Manchester or Gatwick?

All I can think is that there is something up with their systems at the moment and it's only coming up with Manchester and Gatwick. Try again later or give them a call.

Let me know what happens and if the problem continues, or the flights aren't available I'll amend the deal description. But I think there's just a problem with their online system at the moment - I'm sure they fly to other destinations other than Sanford from both Glasgow and Newcastle? From both those airports they must fly elsewhere, yet only Sanford comes up as possible destinations???

    Weird!

Yeah i have been stalking your Florida posts for a couple of weeks now as they are fantastically informative! I have subbed to the 1 with all the tips in as i will be using them when the time finally comes :) Been watching You tube videos of the rides and shows out there, Just makes me more jealous lol or maybe more determined that I will manage to take my kids out there :)

I said in a previous deal that I felt somebody was trying to do too much in 2 weeks, but they were game for it - youngsters eh!

I would disagree to the extent that 2 weeks is fine (but no shorter) but in reality you should not expect to do all parks in just 2 weeks. We never did and that's why we went back another 8 times! So much to do there.

It can be a very tiring holiday, especially with kids, so you do need to chill as well.

We have only been for 2 weeks once and, to be honest, we prefer longer. Every other time we have been for at least 18 days but usually 20/21 days. Went once for 26 days and that was actually too long - we got fed up with the constant heat after about 20 days and just wanted a good ol' dreary and wet English day. We weren't disappointed when we got back as that's exactly what we got!!
