@ The Howard Johnson Inn Heritage Park - 2* Hotel, Kissimmee, Florida - Less than 20mins drive from Disneyworld 30mins from Universal Studios - £148 2 people 7 nights (room only)

Days Inn Orlando Maingate to Universal - @ Universal - £155 2 persons 7 nights including Breakfast - Pool - Family Friendly

Another deal from Hotelopia, I've searched May dates and the above came up for a stay between 12th & 19th May 2009.

Check BA, Virgin Atlantic, Orbitz etc to compare flights, or use skyscanner to do it for you

Again, you can pay more for nicer hotels, (check out the Orlando / Florida Deals on Hotelopia) but if you're travelling on a shoestring or just need a base while you explore Florida then this could be ideal

Looks a lot like the Holiday Inn I stayed in in LA, no complaints, it was a mini flat with Bedroom, lounge, kitchen and bathroom even had a 42" LCD

If it's a similar thing then it's a bargain
Quick check on tripadvisor for the Days Inn:

Couldn't seem to find the Howard Johnson though.
Really good find.
Im off to the states in November. Thinking about booking this place for the first week around the parks etc which would be quite hectic. How much are the rooms usually then? Are they like an extra £100 usually?
Thanks, a good deal like this may persuademy boyfriend that we should go to Florida this year!!! :-D
The Howard Johnson Inn Heritage Park

There's loads of accommodation in the Kissimmee area at £20 per night, any time of year. Don't be put of by the trip advisor reviews, all the budget accommodation gets rated similarly - just accept it if that's your price range.
Great Deal on the accomodation. Voted hot

Just a shame the exchange rate on the dollar is so low which has made all the park tickets are so expensive this year. Plus you will need to take about 40% more spending money compared to this time last year to get the same!
We were looking at Florida for the end of May, had the accommodation sorted, but the flights are very expensive. Also proving almost impossible to get a direct flight to Orlando from manchester without paying £600+ each. Just a word of warning really
Looks a really good deal, it comes up as £178 for a week in March, expedia have it at £303 for the same period. Sounds too good to be true hope there are no hidden extras.
There are lots of good value motels in Kissimmee.

I used to stay at the Monte Carlo motel on US 192 next to Shell World and it's basic but great value. It's was pretty quiet when I was there (2003) which I liked. I think it was like $25 a night and the owner was Chinese and a very nice guy, very helpful.

All depends on what standard of hotel you want but I wouldn't use all of the facilities of the larger hotels.

And as said the dollar pound isn't that great.

And you really need the car rental as well as bussing it around can take forever.
2 * **** dat ;-(
Silly Question but flights are on top yes?
Isnt that where they are gonna get money??
This is hotel only, you book your own flights.

I'm off to Florida on Monday for 13 nights. Bumming free nights from local friends for the first 7 nights then 6 nights free at the Key West Crowne Plaza courtesy of Holiday Inn points :-)
If anyone is interested my folks have emigrated to Florida and now run a property rental company - good deals to be had (the english guests are a damn site less hassle to them than the yanks!).

Website details can be provided on request (doubt I'm allowed to link to it). ;-)
Hi, the voucher doesn't work.

The voucher code you entered is incorrect or invalid. Please try again.

However, you can get 10% through quidco.
I used to own and rent out a villa in Florida, at the moment it is possible to rent 5* accommodation for around £250 per week. There are way to many rental homes to rentors and bargains galore to be had.
That's easy for you to say!
would like to go but not sure how far all the parks are from where we can stay. by the way hello to you all out there new chap in town:thumbsup:
