Can't see these 08 715 flights yet, so I guess they won't show up until Monday.
As long as they don't put up the prices when the free flights appear it looks like it will work out at around 200quid return, inc tax)!
VERY tempting!

i was there in March of this year.

its the best city in the world as far as i am concerned. i loved every second of it. the rooms tend to be a lot cheaper than Uk rooms anyway, i spent £250 on a 4 star hotel right in the heart of causeway bay for 5 nights.

there are also much cheaper rooms available.

try the YMCA hotels there - they are proper hotels but have family rooms.

good luck

Their servers are buckling under the strain now.

I see what you are doing wrong. You need to click on the words to the left of the screen where it promotes the free tickets. You enter the dates there.

Try this link:

It's worth persevering. I just managed to get 2 adult and 2 child return flights for August 2008 (peak summer holidays) for £948 including all taxes.
Need to spend the next 12 months ironing out my carbon footprint, but otherwise, fantastic value!
#24
Make a visit to Hong Kong. You won't be disappointed!

I came from Hong Kong last September to study in London. Will be going back to Hong Kong this September (also taking Oasis Hong Kong airlines, which is a new budget airline with a pretty good review). I missed Hong Kong and will be missing London!!

Yes this still loads available, just make sure you click on the 3000 free place promo and search from there, NOT the normal book tickets place.

Also you MUST fly out on WED FRI or SUN.

I'm off in Jan £227.50 return inc tax! :)

Yes, that's the problem with "free one-way" offers. :giggle:

We went with Oasis to Hong Kong in June.
Cost £1,033.82 all in then without this offer, for 2 adults & 2 children so if you miss out on this it is still worth considering. It was 8 flights of £75 each plus taxes.
Oasis were fine.
As for hotels, as others have said when you have kids the best place is one of the 2 Disney Hotels. We stayed at the Hollywood Hotel, slightly cheaper than the other one. Easy & cheap to get trains from there in to the heart of Hong Kong.
HK Disney is not huge but it was very quiet compared to Paris etc.
If anyone needs more advice re. Oasis, Hong Kong or HK Disneyland feel free to ask or PM me.
You won't regret going there, it was the best holiday I have had.
I am waiting for someone to offer similar cheap flights to Tokyo so I can go to Disney there.

Thanks to the opening poster!

I've been looking at Oasis for the last week as the first leg of my journey to Sydney.

I had settled for a total cost of £315 for a journey from 3rd Jan 2008 to 27th Jan, but this morning managed to get the same journey with confirmed emergency exit seats for £345 (it costs about £60 to confirm an emergency exit for each leg of the journey!)

Job done!

Hi,
I'm considering this offer, but maybe someone can help me,
Is there any dates that I should avoid when travelling to Hong Kong?i.e. storm season, etc
what are the best dates,i.e: special events, celebrations, etc?

Thanks.
#33
eventually found one but its in september! (08)
#34
For those having difficulty booking these....

Make sure you click on the 3000 free flights banner.
Then use the search for dates on the left. DO NOT USE THE NORMAL SEARCH.

You outbound flight (LGW>HK) MUST BE a WED, FRI or SUN. Your return can be any you choose.

There are still loads left for most months at the moment.

If you don't want to go to HK for a long time, just book a cheap return flight from HK somewhere else in asia!

Remember: You get the LGW > HK FREE (you still pay the taxes)

Managed to book in from June 1st - 9th but realised i'm only really going to get 6 days out of it (probably less with travelling) do you reckon they could extend the return date if i called up if it's at the same price?
#36
guv
Terms and conditions mean its likely to cost you £70 per ticket - but they are the only ones that can answer.

Thanks guv!!!

Serious Q: is there seven days' worth of things to do in HK? Most people use it as a stop off, don't they?

Haven't had chance to look - is a trip to the mainland feasible/easy/cheap?

So what sort of things are you after? Theme parks? Disney and Ocean Park. Beaches? Loads of them. Shopping, No need to mention that! Victoria hill cable car, Budha on Lantau, laser lights at night, trip to Macau.

The Science Museum, Stanley market, The bird garden, Nathan Road
Just an experience as it is so different
