never mind that get to 24hr bakery and get some good grub worth the flight for that alone...
Now that place brings back happy memories...
Hot because deals to Dundee don't often come up. Shame it's Stanstead though.

And yet European flights can be markedly lower than this.
May be a deal for some peak flights but not for most

'London' Southend?
same applies to London Gatwick, London Luton and London Stansted
I agree it's not London though!
I paid £25 offpeak return and it was 50mins

To be honest though, I recently flew a couple of times from Southend and was very impressed. Lots of quick trains from Liverpool Street, cheaper train fare than Gatwick/Luton/Stansted and then all you have is 200m walk from the station to the terminal. I was through security in 5 mins - no hassle at all. So much easier than Gatwick.
How long was the train journey and price thank you

I've done it. It's about an hour from Liverpool Street and if I remember correctly was about 15 quid each way.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not knocking the airport. It's a good option. But calling it a London airport is a farce.

Flybe is a cracking regional airline. I believe all aircraft are set in a 2x2 seating plan, barely any wait to board and nice staff. Managed to grab a £30 return to Amsterdam in jan when they had the seat sale on

Yup I agree with this. I fly often with them to London City and can't fault them. The 2x2 seating arrangement means you never have to worry about getting stuck in a middle seat if you don’t pay to pick your seat. Also because their planes are so small (capacity seems to be around 40) it boards quickly compared to larger planes, just feels so much smoother and everyone is in their seats easily without much stress/pushing. The on-board staff don’t push their products much, they just leave you to it.

Only real disadvantages are the on-board baggage allowance is a bit smaller. But this is really to do with the smaller aircraft and overhead lockers. Also speaking of smaller aircraft they do seem to get blown about a lot more compared to the larger jets, makes for some interesting landings.

Plenty of £15 flights available on just about all the routes!.
seems a bit of a scam to me
There's some Jersey to Manchester flights for £2.67 (only that direction) if useful. Not a lot for me in the North East - was hoping there may be something in early April, or Feb half term.
Plenty of availability now when I search Jan/Feb, on Glasgow to Belfast for example

No £15 flights available in either direction

Saw this airline for the first time the other month whilst queuing for my KLM flight. My friend and I took to calling it 'flyb' no pronouncing the e as that how it appears.
Now I can't see the logo without going 'fllyyyyb?' and laughing to myself..
Are these similar to RyanAir for the cheap fares but pay for everything else, so it ends up costing you more in the long-run, type deals?
Lying B stards, its the same price as usual!! £61.98 for the cheapest belfast to london fare just paying the taxes. Yeah right
Hasn't they just reported a lost of 40m last year. Better pay with credit card.
Not great as taxes are now so high. Could go somewhere nice and sunny instead for the same price!

I still have not been able to get through on the phone to use my free flight voucher having already spent 40 minutes at 10 pence a minute what a con
Fares are £10 tax is the other £90... I have BMI Miles to use on the same basis. I had enough points to fly to the US this year but the tax made it more expensive that buying the whole ticket from Virgin.
still worth a dive though considering it could save you £100 fare.
Ummm....

6. The bonus flight voucher covers the air fare only. Taxes, surcharges, insurance, advanced seat assignment, baggage, customs fines, immigration fees, airport charges, fuel surcharges, agricultural inspection fees, security, customer user fees or any other charges related to the booking must be paid by the voucher holder when making their flight booking.

Problem I've had with them in the past using my airmiles is that taxes and fees somehow make a "free" flight often uneconomic over a competitor.

I thought I was being completely honest about what the Pro's and cons are. I was just trying to share something that could 'reduce' costs for some people, if you are going to blow it cold, at least say why

troubleshooter, you did a good job with your post, and added lots of information to provide a well rounded view of what the offer was.

Potentially great for someone that flies with Flybe a bit, who will collect other points too. I've flown with them and was impressed. Otherwise, someone who may want to switch card companies, and get a flight as a bonus, as they can check total price to pay on taxes etc, before deciding whether to take the offer up.
having checked some but not all flights from Newcastle the taxes/charges are far more than the cost of any flight ticket, I could fly British airways cheaper, not so good deal me thinks.

not voted cold or hot as someone may find a good deal
i guess theres just no pleasing people, heat from me :)
Should be useful for some.. thanks for sharing :)

Amended the title a wee bit

flybe logoCut the Price of Plane Tickets with Flybe Discounts

Flybe started out on the tiny island of Jersey in 1979, running flights from the capital St. Helier to the UK mainland. However, it really started to hit the big time in 2000, when it was renamed British European (hence the “be” in Flybe).

Since then, the airline has constantly added new airports and routes to its portfolio. Nowadays, along with UK cities like Manchester, London, Liverpool, Norwich, Durham and Cardiff, passengers can fly to European destinations like Dubrovnik, Malaga, Berlin, Paris and Vienna.

The airline has always specialised in providing discounted tickets, and you will always find a range of savings for travel across the Flybe network at the HotUKDeals listings pages.

Where to Purchase Flybe Tickets

The best place to book Flybe tickets is the company’s website at www.flybe.com. As soon as you enter the site, you will clearly see the flight search form. Enter the details of your flights, click “Find flights”, and you’ll be able to choose the perfect departure slot.

You can also search for Flybe tickets on flight aggregators like SkyScanner and Google. If you are in the market for the cheapest flights, comparing services from various low-cost carriers could be the way to start your search.

Products On Offer at Flybe

Flybe offers more than simply cut-price flights. When you log onto flybe.com, you’ll be able to:

  • Book Flights - Search for flights across the UK and Europe, with a particularly wide range of destinations in France, Germany and Spain. The best way to find out exactly where Flybe serves is to use their route map tool, which can be found here.
  • Check timetables - You can also check the schedules of major flight routes, a big help if you need to arrange journeys with more than one leg. Check out the Flybe timetables section for more information.
  • Book Hotels - Flybe also allows customers to book their accommodation when they arrange their flights. They have struck an agreement with booking.com to provide affordable, highly rated hotels in all of their destinations, with ski and beach resorts both covered extensively.
  • Arrange Car Hire - Passengers can also sort out their onward transportation when booking with Flybe. The company has partnered with Avis and Budget to provide the right car hire packages wherever travellers need a vehicle.

Additionally, passengers can manage their bookings, add luggage allowances and find out flight information from the Flybe homepage. There are also special sections featuring the newest routes, along with Flybe Offers, which details the company’s current deals.

Destinations that Flybe Flies To

When you book flights with Flybe, you could be heading to popular tourist destinations like:

  • Paris
  • Berlin
  • Amsterdam
  • Edinburgh
  • Zurich
  • Madrid
  • Rome
  • Milan

Crazy Race to London: Who is the Fastest? Car, Train or Plane?

Booking Tickets with Flybe.com

Booking tickets with Flybe is simple and shouldn’t be too time consuming. If you know where you’d like to fly, just enter the details into their flight search form. Choose whether you’d like a return or a single, and how many passengers will be flying. You need to register an account before you can book a flight at Flybe.

Payment Methods Accepted by Flybe.com

When it comes to paying for your flights, Flybe cater for the following payment methods: MasterCard, Maestro, Visa credit and debit cards, Visa electron and American Express, as well as Flybe credit cards and PayPal.

Charges apply to PayPal and credit card transactions (3% of the total booking cost) but there are no charges for debit card payments.

Sales at Flybeflybe the fastest way from a to be

Flybe is a discount flight provider and constantly cuts the prices of its major routes. The first place to look for discounts is HotUKDeals, but you could also head to Flybe’s own “Offers” section.

The company runs plenty of seasonal sales deals. For example, in previous years Flybe discounted the price of 100,000 tickets in January Sales and February to coincide with Valentine’s Day and Easter. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are other good chances to grab real bargains on your next flight booking with Flybe. So keep an eye out for deals at all times of year.

The Flybe Frequent Flier Scheme

Flybe credit cards are a good option for anyone who intends to fly regularly with the airline. The card includes a feature called “Spend & Fly”, which allows the holder to accumulate points to spend on future flights. These points are accrued via everyday card purchases, not just Flybe products.

As a general guide, if you spend £4,000 on purchases with your Flybe credit card, it will translate into a free UK flight, while £7,500 is equivalent to a European flight (excluding taxes).

Additionally, Flybe participates in the industry-wide Avios scheme, whereby passengers accumulate points as they fly, which can then be cashed in for flights in the future.

How to Cancel Flights with Flybe

Flights with Flybe are non-refundable, so if your plans change close to departure, you will not be able to apply for a refund.

What you can do is change your ticket to a different fare or date. Different ticket types have different privileges, and you may need to pay a fee to make journey changes.

If you choose “Just Fly”, Flybe’s most basic ticket type, you will have to pay a ticket change fee and the difference between the cost of your original and new flights.

“Get More” passengers only have to pay the fare difference, while no charges apply if you have purchased an “All-In” ticket.flybe friday
