Quite bad reviews on Amazon when it comes to how long does it last and how it works after a while :(

I would never buy a Flymo gain . Slightest graze against a step or something hard and the blade buckles out of place . I took mine back to Homebase and dumped it on their Customer Services desk for them to take to the local dump.

Oh come on any mower blade striking a step is going to buckle and need hammering back into shape

:p

Make your mower last longer by making it easier to cut the grass. Water it with a little alcohol. The grass comes up half cut.

Nope.. My old mower 'chinked' several rocks, stones and tree stumps in it's time - the blade lost sharpness over time but didn't deform.

Low price but Flymo are very poor these days. Well worth spending more (not necessarily very much) on an excellent Bosch machine.

Hi, I was wondering if I use this will it always leave stripes on the grass? I'm not fussed about having stripes I just want something that will cut the grass quicker than the temperamental flymo I have at the moment without leaving it looking silly.

Flymo made in Sweden. Bosch made in China .

Maybe (though I think my Bosch may be UK made) but place of manufacture is only one factor. Apple products are made in China but that doesn't seem to stop their fans paying mega-money for them. Original design and specification together with quality control are what matters, regardless of the nationality of the people screwing them together.

I had a series of increasingly poor Flymos before I got the Bosch - should have done it years ago! If it was simply my personal experience I wouldn't post an opinion but it does seem to be a general view.

The Flymo may be a good buy at this price but I suggest people consider their reputation too.

I work for flymo which is actually made in England owned by husqvarna which is Sweden. I can tell you it's very good quality mower and much better than a cheap Bosch. Flymo has the quality build abs will cut your lawn for years if you look after it properly

I have had this lawnmower for less than six weeks and every time I use it, it keeps cutting out. I am very disapointed with the lack of support too :(
