Flymo Mow n Vac 28 lawn mower - £28.00 (with code) @ tesco direct

imsrajimsraj

Not a bad price. Amazon sell these for £59.

Use code: TD-GLTD

£5 for delivery or free instore collection.

This Flymo Mow and Vac lawn mower is essentially a 900W vacuum cleaner for your lawn.

Sitting on top of a cushion of air, this mower will glide around the garden, and with its plastic blade and 15 litre grass box capacity, it’ll make light work of mowing the lawn. Although the grass box is smaller than other lawn mowers, it compacts the grass, so you won’t have to empty it as often.

The Flymo Mow and Vac is ideal for smaller lawns and has a 10m cable.

Not voted either way - looks a great price, but I've never been impressed with flymo. better off with some Argos Challenge thing with real metal blades IMO (much less work to mow)

you will forever buying replacement blades, hitting a pea sized stone it enough to break them....sorry been there done that, gone back to a metal blade.

Website is playing up again - I try to add it to basket, but then keep getting "Iternet Explorer cannot disply the webpage"
It was doing exactly the same this morning when I was trying to order a Fifi bike - it took me all morning in the end!

After years of using ever poorer Flymo machines I finally bought a Bosch rotary - wonderful!

I truly would not buy another Flymo if it was as cheap as 1p. Horrid, nasty things.

They used to be very high quality mowers, until Electrolux took control, they are now rubbish.

John sussex is right the blades are plastic crap....... i got a flymo turbo lite 330 its got a metal blade & its does the job not a vac one, but if you cut the grass regular its never been a problem for me i got it because my lawn is all uneven ;)

The plastic blades are rubbish. The center that holds the blades is also plastic as my wife found out the first time she used it and hit a stone and broke that part too. In truth we only now have a tiny lawn (around 5m x 5m) and it does the job but if i had a bigger patch of grass i would be looking for something better. 8)

Had a couple of Flymo over the years. The cost saving here will rapidly go as you buy a new set of blades each time you mow the lawn.

Just bought a Bosch beast with metal blades. Yes it was nearly £100 more - but everything about it is properly constructed and just works.
Gardena do some entry level metal blade options.

Not voted - but recommend reading some reviews.

My experience wasn't just poorer quality (though each one last a shorter time than the previous one), it's the design which simply didn't work properly. They became too heavy as they added more 'features', which look good in the store but are a very bad idea in use.

I used to think I needed a Flymo because I have a less than flat lawn and an area of steep slope but the Bosch has worked absolutely perfectly there too and it actually picks up all of the clippings! Does the job so much better in half the time and with far less effort.

I should have abandoned Flymo years ago.

Lots of similar comments on here but still it's hot - HUKD strikes again! Just because it's cheap doesn't make it a bargain folks.

I have one of these, I wouldn't recommend it. Plastic blades as many have mentioned are rubbish & I wouldn't say that it glides well at all.

Borrowed one of these from mother in law to fix my dads grass works a treat, he has a very dodgy shaped garden it's all lumpy and bumpy too and he's tries all sorts, think i'll but him one of these.

And the new blades are hardly putting you out of pocket, b and q sell packs for £2.98 if i recall and you get at least 6, we never have to change the blades each time, and if you keep on top of it like you're supposed to then i'd say no problems at all.

Yeah, all true - I have a Bosh with plastic blades, I always start out to do my two small lawns with at least 4 spare blades in my pocket - lol I curse everytime I hit even the smallest object and have to stop to replace, even hitting the blade fragments from previous `hits' does it.

Having said that, if you have no kids and lawn is untouched from last cut they work fine - and the price is excellent.
