My wife's company used to sell these and they had so many returned that they stopped stocking them! I had a load of the returns given to me and they worked fine so I gave them away to friends who were very happy. What I found was that the higher frequencies 105MHz onwards tended to pick up alternator whine from the engine so I use 99.9MHz on mine and it works brilliantly. The hole on the side is for a car charger to be plugged in (the ones I had all had car chargers). They also work perfectly with all of the iPhone models.

The sound quality is as good as a normal radio station so don't expect CD quality sound (probably why so many got returned!)

Hope that helps.

My friend had one like this, really bad quality and a terrible connection. Worth paying more for a Belkin of Griffin etc. My Belkin, for example, cost £30 and plugs into my lighter socket therefore perfect sound quality.

How does 'plugs into my lighter socket' = 'perfect sound quality'?

I suppose it's a case of you get what you pay!! I think some people expect much more for 7quid!! Think I might wait for my new works car and hope the radio has a jack plug for it! Hot for the money though

I bought one of these from Tesco - not impressed, back to Belkin! :)
