I got refunded without asking. No comms - didn't even know my order had been cancelled until saw the credit on my PayPal account. Had to search my emails to see what it was for (I'm always buying cheap tat from China so couldn't remember what it was for!).
wow, finally refunded without having to ask, only took them 22 days:|

I do not know if it is the same for business sellers, but as an standard customer of PayPal, if I issue a refund, they still retain the 20p transaction charge. If this is the same for business customers, then, if FP really had 10,000 orders this has cost them £2000 in transaction fees to PayPal. I would not think they would purposely list a miss price to generate revenue on the hope people wouldn't request a refund.
You shouldn't be charged fees unless it wasn't a full refund - whenever I've issued a full refund on ebay Paypal have always also cancelled/refunded any fees (otherwise the refund the buyer received would be short by the fee amount). I'm not too sure what happens with partial refunds tho but that isn't relevant here.
That changed in Sep 2011. PayPal refund the buyer in full but retain the transaction fee from the seller. You may want to recheck your transactions. The fee applies to businesses in Europe, £0.20, and America, $0.30, so is feasible that it applies to China too. It is practically impossible to find on PayPal's website but a google search of PayPal refund 20p will give you plenty of results.

I have this phone. No problems with the screen until I put a screen protector on it. It then developed dead spots and randomly 'pressed' itself. I took the screen protector off and the problem went.

What type of screen protector? I have heard of other people having similar trouble on various handsets with certain protectors. I personally have a toughened glass screen protector, the cheapest glass one I could find shipped from China and have had no issues with touchscreen at all.

Lol. DX don't have a physical EU warehouse, they just use the EU label as a marketing ploy for allegedly faster delivery from China via PostNL. No customs charges is pure luck, same as via DXs non-EU site, but you can buy insurance against customs charges at about 1USD per order.

Well, here's a wee update....the phone arrived today ( yes, embarrassed) big sigh of relief, because I paid by debit card, let me tell ya, it was way over 2 months!! Unsure if I'll take the chance again, but if I do it'll be a credit card!!

How can the most reliable part of a purchase be from a company sending an item from Asia? Better thank your lucky stars it came out good for you...they now want me to provide local post office proof that I DID'NT receive my phone!!! Did you ever hear anything as ridiculous? You pay your money and take your chances with this mob.....

Maybe 'reliable' wasn't the right word, what I meant was that when I ordered the phone I had no experience of elephone, the p7000 hadn't been launched so no proper reviews, but at least I'd heard of and used focalprice. Yes it was a complete gamble, but at least the purchase cost was covered by credit card guarantee. I'd been wanting to try a phone from one of the fledgling Chinese manufacturers for some time and I did as much research as I could.
In my case focalprice were fine, I had a second ordered through gearbest that I cancelled as they were very slow at getting stock after launch.
I guess my point is that buying largely unknown new model phones from Chinese retailers comes with risks. Would I do it again? - possibly not, I'd maybe wait for reviews before ordering, unless there was another big discount for a presale and the manufacturer had some form.

I agree, they are horrible to deal with. My phone was on an infinite loop of crashing. they asked for a video, so sent a youtube link. "youtube doesn't work in our country".. ok, sent a vimeo link + an attachment of mp4 in the email.. "we cannot open that format".. through paypal they agreed that I can send it back for a refund, but I have to pay the return. I have a feeling they will not get the phone. I am luck I paid through my CC and through paypal, no matter what I'm going to get my money back.

How did you pay? if you used a credit card, tell them they want documented proof the item didn't arrive and the post office said they can't give that

Why do a LOT/MOST of the Dual-SIM Smartphones 1 Micro SIM card and 1 Nano SIM Card Slots rather than/instead of just BOTH of them being Micro SIM Card Slots instead? .. all these Micro & Nano combinations are a proper pain in the rear!, seriously I mean, what for at all .....

it wouldn't be unusable, it was obviously a half decent spec at the time it was originally out it not got any slower just because the spec is old...... it is however an old android version and newer apps/games will struggle.

it would be better and have more features than say a leap pad for kids which are a lot more and charge you for the games/apps extra

This is just low powered, 'knock off' junk with poor engineering and dodgy QC.

People would be better off with something from a more established manufacturer. Even the £125 Vodafone / ZTE smart ultra would be better than this.

I can't be bothered with finger print. I have a launcher that allows for password and that's enough. I also bought second hand 1st moto360 and that works well with the phone.
The fingerprint is pretty awful, I've registered my fingers multiple times and it often takes me 5+ attempts to get it to work. Much quicker to just use a passcode.

Bought from eBay for £105. I my loving it. This phone is better than iPhone 6s Plus.
Me too, I paid £115. First impressions its a really nice quality phone. After using a Huawei for a while its nice to see plain old Android again rather than their overlay.
The only flaw I can see is the fingerprint sensor has a tiny amount of movement so when putting the battery cover on you have to get it lined up correctly, perhaps just mine.
Considering the price its crazy really what you get for the money.

Straight back to Amazon, not worth the headache.

edit: this one is working: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bt.smartwatch&hl=en_GB

second edit: constant bluetooth disconnections, excellent! should have listened to the comments...

third edit: been through countless threads online, tried every single app recommended, updated my android to latest version, nothing works. Connects to phone but can't use the features on the watch, constantly says to "please install "bt notifier" app in the remote". Recommend apps just throw apk exceptions.

At least the bloody alarm works.

got one, lasted for 2 weeks before the strap broke off

Bluetooth not really stable..

but for this price, it is worth testing if smart watches are for you
banned
I got the first watch after about 4 weeks but this stopped working shortly afterwards so contacted the supplier and was told that it was my fault as I had used an alternative charging cable and not the one supplied. A warning to all who buy one of these smart watches is ONLY use the cable provided and to be safe only charge the watch plugged into your PC or Laptop but do NOT charge it from a plug even using the cable provided these watches cannot handle the extra wattage and it fry's the internals.
Anyway they agreed to send me a new one for free which has worked perfectly for the past 2 weeks and is a really cool item to impress defo buy one sit back wait enjoy.
