For those who can't get to B&Q...
The one pictured is the B&Q Monaco model, but Focus' one is *very* similar... the immediate difference I saw was that the handle was looped (with a hole through it) as opposed to an entire solid handle....

Original Price was £64
Was then marked down to £32

B&Q also have their *very* similar model from £49 marked to £24.50

Kitchen taps are always overpriced in the first place... I was going to buy the white version from B&Q, until the guy told me £24.50 only applied to the chrome finished one. Looks like I'll have to keep waiting for the white ones...

If you can get to a B&Q, it's £24.50 for a very similar one

Or £13ish each time they come round at Aldi. But can you get new cartridges when they wear out, as they certainly will? The cost of a plumber to replace a leaky tap is way more than the saving on a cheap one.

yeah, and I've looked at the Aldi ones, the handles are generally plastic with chrome plating... these ones are the heavy duty ones.

I would've bought the Aldi/Lidl ones... except when the deals were posted here, people have mentioned something to do with lack of pressure from the hot tap... I'm not a plumber, so I haven't a clue... just stuck to the old B&Q places where I can get professional assistance

No, the Aldi ones are not plastic and there's no problem with the hot water - I have two of them working perfectly in my house.

I'm not knocking this deal as the Aldi ones aren't out there at the moment but the question re replacement cartridges is relevant to all such taps.

People mentioned, on this forum, that the size of the inlets (hot water = smaller than the cold water one) means the pressure from hot water isn't strong - but this only happens if you have a certain heater

And the one I have means there is weak pressure

BUT yours is probably the other type, and hence you don't have problems with it.

I've had a look at the Aldi/Lidl pull out spray unit, and yes, I'm pretty sure it's some sort of light plastic with chrome coating.

Ah, the pull out sprayer one - don't know if that's plastic but now you're not comparing like with like.

Oh, sorry.. you mentioned Aldi first... haha... and the only ones I've seen at Aldi/Lidl are the pull out ones

so, I can't comment on the non-pull-out ones (didn't even know they did those)

Sorry for the confusion, my fault
