I can confirm that the picture is excellent. Bought the wifes mother one and the picture quality blows mine away (and mine is one of the so called named big brands).
Would definatley reccomend:thumbsup:

if the aspect ratio really is 16:10 then it's the wrong shape for our broadcasts - and would probably not be 1920x1080

That's just a mistake in the listing.
It's a 16:9 aspect ratio and 1920 x 1080 resolution. :)

F&H are rebranded LG/Samsung panels AFAIK so are made with relatively decent components.A good price for the product you get,not inflated to absorb all the marketing and advertising costs of the better known brands either.

A decent 3 year warranty thrown in too,my mum as a little F&H tv and it's a cracking set for the price she paid.....hot from me:thumbsup:
#23
I made the mistake of buying the 36" version of this set when it was the subject of a previous Ebuyer offer. F&H is not a 'real' brand, its a 'virtual' brand in that Ebuyer scour the world for cheap products and stick their 'F&H' logo on them. The set I had was of poor picture quality and made in Turkey. I believe they make use of the panels that fail the QC tests set by the major brands.
I can see no reason to buy one of these when a reputable brand can be had for little more cash...
#24
My mom bought one of these, and I think it's a fantastic TV. At the time it was the best offer around and we would've had to downgrade considerably on the size if we'd gone for a big brand, which would've cost the same. As of yet, no regrets!

It does look huge though.. and I mean HUGE! The frame is a bit chunkier than on some other brands so it looks a lot bigger than other 42" TVs

Have you noticed that all EBuyers reviews seem to be 5star.......strange:o

Ebuyer select which reviews they publish and have a knack of pulling any bad ones..

Don't waste your money..get a reputable brand...Sony,Panasonic.Philips or Toshiba

Is my mum the only one without one - I feel guilty - must be a bad son

I wrote the 4 star review starting 'I bought one of these on Friday at 7:50pm for Saturday delivery..' and would stand by my review that its a great TV for the price but the support is terrible and they ignored me completely.

I am severely annoyed that eBuyer chose to close the forum thread on this TV too. I have been trying to get to the bottom of whether anyone has got 1080p working via HDMI which is my only problem but after I posted an open question, the thread mysteriously disappeared... something I didn't believe eBuyer did until then.

The TV is full HD via VGA port but interlaces the image via HDMI rendering it pretty useless for 360, PS3 etc unless someone here who also has one can confirm otherwise?

Sony badge not worth the price, when i worked for an Electrical retailer they were the worst picture quality!
So for this price/spec and a 3 year warranty this is a good deal!
Or pay £200 at least pound more for the Sony Equivelent (just for the badge maybe?) and after 3 years who would want it!

Is this fact or guesswork? Does being 'made' in Turkey have any particular relevance to quality compared to anywhere else?
Have bought several F&H LCD TVs from eBuyer (for work presentation purposes) and all have been good value and quality so far under quite a lot of careless use!

I wouldn't touch an F&H with a bargepole! Especially if they are sold by E-buyer...
