Yeah has been mentioned above, but is from a different supplier.

Actually its the same supplier - ebuyer. This is their ebay shop.
Thank Op - just bought.
Was going to buy at the £58 deal direct from ebuyer web site - but this has saved me an extra few quid. Great little player according to the reports/reviews.
Can be made multiregion for DVDs and play any regions Blu-ray discs, via v easy remote code hack. Plus BD-live, etc etc. Bargain for the money
Voted hot!!!

This deal is suddenly getting cold feedback which quite frankly I don't understand.
Bought hundreds of items off ebay and with Paypal without an issue. The other £57.99 deal also via ebuyer - as per the post above is Hot by over 1600, This is cheaper, via the same company and only 55 at time of writing and dropping.
Sorry don't understand that.

P,S. other deal has just expired, again, for the umteenth time.Over 250 in stock at ebuyer, so don't understand that also. Hay, Ho.

Guessing some people have issues with ebay or paypal more specifically, Like you though iv never had a problem with paypal, its more secure than payin with card and much faster.
#14
Never had any problem at all whatsoever with Paypal.
#15
don't forget quidco, you also get 55 ebay points. I have £30 in my paypal account so going to put that to good use ;)
#16

I was really tempted with this deal lastweek on Ebuyer. However wanted DLNA support and a better interface.

So bought a Sony S370 off Amazon for £153 + free postage.

Paying for the privilege, but really wanted the nice XMB interface and future 3D & DLNA support with firmware upgrades.

iPhone remote app and the numerous streaming media services was a bonus as well.

My 1 cent anyway.

As you said, you would expect that for 3 times the price....

What are ebay points?

when you purchasing a item on ebay you get points (100 points = £1) and at the end of the month you get the cashback but can you only use it to spend it on ebay.

I thought this was available to everyone?
#23
Did Someone Mention Paypal??????

Aaaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh! I Hate Paypal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to a very unhappy place when the seller sent me a refund but paypal held on to it for 2 months and after 4 phonecalls they finally released it to me.

other than that paypal has been fine.

For anyone wondering who Foehn and Hirsch is - it's an ebuyer whitelabel thing not an expensive german brand as one might think...

mind you if the stuff works then grand but don't let ebuyer tell you its nothing to do with them if it flunks out!

Looks like they plan to go into the white goods market, too:

Never heard of it either. I believe it maybe a USA thing only.

is this a noisy player i.e. any quieter than a ps3? we have generally used our ps3 for blu-rays but it doesn't half make a noise and can be distracting.

wondered if this would a good solution?

Yep, my girlfriend has been offered to join but I haven't :p Consequently anything we buy goes through her account.

Check list:

01. eBay linking is banned from here (been asking why for months never had an answer -expect more of the same)
02. eBay is for serial killing lorry drivers
03. PayPal killed my cat in 1998 story when I fed it an old Betamax tape which was mouldy
04. 300% more expensive and waaay overpriced non-multiregion comparisons
05. USA (was part of England until Elvis died)
06. PS3
07. PayPal is run by demons
08. Blu-ray players (all of them) are noisier than the noisiest DVD player. Think atomic explosion with that funny noise Titanic made as it hit the bottom of the ocean.

I think that's about it.

So, back to the main point of this thread I assume  :p
#34
can you use this to play divx movies from usb sticks ?
#35
I noticed this player doesn't have an optical out... My TV does, though, so if I got this player, could I link it via HDMI to the TV and then link the optical from my TV to the amp to get 5.1 sound? Sorry if this sounds dense... Not tried it before!

Either way, heat added...
#36
filmbloke. in theory its possible if your tv also supports hdmi 1.3.
is claims to have digital coaxial , which you likely have on your amp anyway and probably will give a better result.

also my 2p on paypal/ebay . long as you keep your wits and dont buy "to good to be true" then unlikely to go wrong.
paypal almost always sides with the buyer , even sometimes when it is clearly buyers fault.
ive bought and sold over 2000 items on fleabay/paypal without loss , and would much rather pay with paypal than hand my details over to a 3rd/4th party.

description says DivX-compliant, so my guess would be yes.
