Only £44.99 (ex delivery). Excellent value. Good spot.

Excellent spot although jury still out unless IGO etc can be put on it..Been ages since the cheap & cheerful SatNavs such as Myguide etc gave the big boys a run for their money :)
#3
Ordered. Thanks OP.

I've got this and just to confirm IGO can be put on it, TomTom wouldn't go on easy though although others online have got it to work with lots of fiddling apparently. To be honest IGO is great so no need for TomTom in my case.
#5
99.9% sure you can get igo on to it. I'll pass though as I am still using my first and second gen navigos.
#6
anyone an idea how easy it is to get an US map on this one and how much that costs?

Cheers

Will this cover Oldham?

Ahhhh I long for the days of when navigos could be hacked to run tomtom. You dont see it so much these days

Those days haven't gone - F&H also hackable with a bit of effort.

Anyone own this already? Whats the quality like? Battery? I guess the preloaded software is not that good(going by previous Ebuyer offerings!)
#12

I picked up an ex display one of these for £40

I wanted to put tomtom on but could not get it to work. Did not like the standard software so sold it on. I managed to get tomtom on the older verson MV43 (also on CE 6) so I am unsure what the problem was.

I got the first version of the F&H 4.3". Im running Tom Tom, Navigon, IGO and two other satnav softwares on it (cant remember which ones) plus lots more. Fantastic sat nav, has handled everything I threw at it.

Unfortunately I Simply cannot find the forum in which I found the instructions to do this. I think it's closed. If anyone can throw any light on this can they pm me. Many thanks

Yea the website was either pctailor or simple satnav

They are gone now :(

The Turbodog on this model is awful but if you install iGO, you will be able to use maps world wide. You can buy iGO PRIMO legally and install it instead (you need the Windows CE 6 version).

That was my point, the pctailor site was ace, until it started charging. Then it eventually closed down. Tomtom 7 was the latest version you could put on a navigo or f & h, but thats now years out of date. Plus you can pick a real tomtom up nowadays for about 50 quid so not much point in it anymore. I havnt been able to update my hacked navigo for ages.

What the big difference with Tomtom 8? I seen a version 1 Navigo running Tomtom lane guidance on u tube. I have 660 maps installed but don't have this feature?

I have a F&H G422 tried installing tom tom and get mermory problems, tried installing IGO primo, that works but then also get low memory warnings

Both programs work perfect on my old MV43

anyone else having memeory issues or have a got a duf unit.

I had the same problem, put tomtom on a friends mv43 no problem. Got myself the g422 and no go. Tomtom won't work on windows ce 6.0 (without modifications). It's strange how it worked on the MV43 though as that is windows ce 6.0 also.
