After an accident a couple of years ago where "witnesses" mysteriously appeared after the event and told utter porkies thats exactly what I have in mind.

These have sound activation so if using one for a dash mount incase of accidents the sound of your screams will start it recording. Quality is good on them on both build and PQ .

They're only really any good for in-car recording if they have a long battery life or can be connected to a cig lighter, and also they really need to have a continual recording feature where it overwrites older video. Then after an accident, all you need to do is stop the recording and you have all the video there. No point starting something recording and then it having run out of memory card and stopped by the time you have had someone in Bradford slam on the brakes with the bulbs removed. Or worse use noise activated recording and shout out but not record the actual incident because the incident just happened!

anyone know if these are the same as the Veho VCC-003? I'd like to get a waterproof cover for it but dont want to buy the veho one if its the wrong size?

They're USB chargeable so any cheap USB car charger will do

Fantastic price, and just worth buying for the extra £4.50 over the china ebay ones just for the ebuyer returns.
Fyi its worth buying even if you have a better quality mobile, because you can use it as a suicide cam, which means if you stack your mountain bike then you have just ruined a cheap cam and not an expensive mobile phone.
I recommend getting a class 4 or 6 micro sd card, that is either 4gb or 8gb as the 2gb will fill up too quickly.

Regarding size, these muvi clones are usually a little bigger than the veho, so beware when thinking you can mix and match.

Also note the vox activation is very sensitive.

It won't automatically keep recording video though.

With this you no doubt have to delete the video (which probably cannot be done on the camera itself) so very fiddly taking the card out, putting it in computer, deleting videos, then putting back in again. Much easier if you can have one where you just hit record, then when an incident happens it's there and has been recorded.

Really not that fiddly for me, i rarely go on car trips over 40 mins anyway, which this can record. carry my laptop with me so if that is the case it will be a 5 min job, if not then ive got several spare micro sd cards to just pop in.

£14.99 ebay from a uk seller is where i got mine, with warrenty.
No complaints from me.
