Ok it has a brand, but is it any better than the generic ones you get or a tenner or less

good reviews, might have some spy type applications at that size

Hopeless in low light conditions, but fine in strong natural light.

I used one of the generic ones of these when I took my car on a track day. Taped it to the dashboard and had it film while I was going round.

Image quality was decent enough - fine for a Youtube quality video, but not something you would really want blowing up onto a 1080p screen. Sound quality wasn't brilliant but then all it really had to record was the sound of an engine revving, so not the best thing to test it on.

Buttons are small and can be a bit fiddly to press, but you can set it to sound activation which is handy - clap near it and it starts. The only indicator you have that it is doing anything is a small blue light - either off / on / flashing. There is no way to preview your footage or view it by using the device - it needs to be connected to a PC / laptop via USB cable.

To give you an idea of film size and capacity - it used approx 50MB for a 1 min video clip and recorded in AVI format.

These little units are really quite excellent for the price. It's sold under a multitude of brand names but the OEM model number is MD80.
I recently got one from Tomtop on eBay for £7.68 delivered from China. It can be had for under £7 but I only deal with vendors I trust when ordering from China. Obviously buying from Ebuyer means a UK plug and much better support in the event of a fault or DOA unit.

Major uses are for RC planes and cars and sports in general. Just search youtube for MD80 to check the quality.

I use mine attached to my bike helmet for when I'm considering doing something intrepid/stupid...
Just be aware that battery life is actually more like 1 hour, not the quoted 2.

Probably the same camera's from Hong kong just with F&H printed on them.Got mine from Hong kong for less than £7 including postage and well pleased.I must say looking at reviews on these camera's its seems like its the luck of the draw,as several people have been disappointed.

I have the 7dayshop one and for the money they are great.
I also have one of the key fob style ones which are grreat for strapping to small R/C cars.

I'd also recommend a class 6 micro SD, class 4 is too slow to keep up.

Cold - there's several outlets selling these at a tenner.

Got one of the cheaper ones for my rc heli. You can put it virtually anywhere and the quality is not half bad.

Just need some Blu Tac to stick them to your shoe!

Sound activation is good

As already mentioned, these have been available for ages on ebay (HK sellers) for about half the price

These are really good. I have one. I'm not sure why I bought it and I havent really used it much. Its one of them things you buy because they are cheap. The build quality was better than expected and MicroSD cards are peanuts now.

Just went to purchase one and they are £24.99

Got one from 7dayshop, it didn't work - sent it back. Didn't get a replacement as thought the build quality was poor.

Maybe I'll go for an ebay one now...at £7 worth the risk.

Foehn and Hirsch a brand?

They're just a name that Ebuyer recently created to stick on cheap stuff they import.... it's no more of a brand than Technika or such like.
