Football Manager series of games are fantasic, but they are too addictive! This was posted before for blahdvd at £17.99, but blahdvd's promotion has now ended, so if you missed out make sure you grab this! This is by far cheapest I've found the game, retail price is £34.99!!

New Features to Football Manager 2008:

Match Flow: The largest change to match-day in a Sports Interactive game since the introduction of the 2D match engine. Match flow brings more atmosphere to match-days with match previews, team talks, opposition player instructions, the match itself, half time and post match.

International Management: The international management gameplay has been completely revamped including media improvements, international retirements, player interaction, international scouting, improved pool selection, captain selection and a separation of international and club morale for players.

Easier to Use: A much cleaner skin, a brand new advisor system to help players through various areas of the game. A new notes and notebook system, better button positioning for simpler navigation and an updated tutorial and manual. Also, coach reports make taking over a new team easier, and the new calendar system lists all important dates throughout the season.

Confidence: Players can now easily tell what the board and supporters think about their performance in the game through the new confidence section.

Transfer Centre: A new way of managing all current transfer and loan bids for a players club, both incoming and outgoing, making it easier to compare bids and reject or accept them.

Finances Revamp: Updated finance area of Football Manager 2008 to better reflect the ever changing football world, with more information available to the manager too.

What's the latest year people have played the '07 version up to? Does it really all just end in 2060?

I pre-ordered my copy of the '08 version from Blahdvd a while back for a similar price to this one. It's all good! :)

I don't know about '07 because the furthest I've got is about 2013, but I know on previous versions (CM01/02 to be precise) people had got well into the 2100s. I doubt it all ends in 2060, would be daft to put such limitations on a game like this.

Good price for a great game, repped, heated and pre-ordered

Champ Man 97/98 had a limit of 2030. When you hit the end of the 2029/30 season you just got a message of "Thanks for playing the game", then it took you back to the main menu!

LOL what a bad way to end! I can't see them programing the game to stop in 2060, the game could go on forever with the re-generated players....the file size would be HUGE though.

I have got as afr as the 20/21 season, been with Liverpool from start.
I celebrated my 1000th game in charge recently :w00t:

If anyone can not wait for new FM check out www.soccermanager.com.
Its totally free manager game, nowhere near as detailed as FM but you get to play against other people and there are about 2 games a week.

REALLY ????...

it just takes common sense that it would be impossible to play untill 2135 ..bloomin hell ...how old will you be in the game on that year ??? say you was 30 years old in 2006 ..as you do start the game in 2006 as everybody knows ..so you would be around 159 years old...to the person who said the game ends in 2060 is actualy wrong also ..the game has got a 50 year cycle and then you have to start again...my m8 did it and it said ..thank you for playing football manager 2007 ..then it went to the title screen,,,i have actualy got up to 2027 with man utd then retired just last week..with man utd the only team ever to win the champions league 26 times in a row and the league 26 times in a row with about 20 f.a cups.15 league cups..25 world club cups...and £3.2 billion in the bank with a stadium the size of 195,000..and fills up every game..lol..oh and i was on £275,000 per week when i retired..the greatest manager ever lived..rooney was still scorring goals at 39 years old..NOW bring on 2008

After seeing it asked here I asked the same thing on the sigames forum and one of the mods posted about that guys game. They said in theory it should run forever and gave that guy as an example of it.
