is this anygood?, I tried the 2006 or 7 version, and it was utter pants compared to the EA / Fifa licensed game. I'm still using the '08 version of that, so am due an update! & I've certainly given up on championship manager (apptly named, after all ,the championship is really the 2nd division)

#6
Very good game, but like Fifa caught up to PES on the consoles and then overtook it, it will probably catch up to FM in say... 2012
#7
Most addictive game EVER, playing it right now as it happens. Bargain. hot.

If you think ea/fifa management games are better than this really is not a good game for you.

One is more arcadey the other is more "serious"

This includes the Apple Macintosh version too. (the superior computing platform)

2010 was a good improvement from the 2009 version, which after seeing on a friend's computer really seemed something of a step backward.

Bear in mind, however, that with the season having ended we're likely only a few months away from 2011's release... - If you want to be up to date, then you'll want that. If not, you'll likely be able to pick this up at an even better price at around that time.

Well I haven't played since 2006 so think it's time to take the plunge again! I'll be away in a different country with a laptop in from Sept, so not fussed with newer versions and I can just add this to my Steam account to save me carrying disks around.
