Have you seen the subscription prices?

This is for access to what is essentially a database. This is ridiculous, just buy the stand alone game.

Yeah, it's £9.98 for a four month subscription as per the title of this post so I don't quite get why you have found the most expensive option; posted a link and based your vote on that :?

This is a "database" in the same manner that world of warcraft is "just a database" .

It is a fully fledged interactive football manager online game. Not just a database update for the standalone FM2009 game.

At present there are 34 gameworlds populated by approx 750 members in each world.

I agree that the website subs are very expensive but by buying 3 of these packs at a cost of £30 you are getting a years sub to the game . As opposed to WOW which would cost you over £90 for a year.

Its not a game that everyone will enjoy but considering that over a million people bought the FM2009 there is a market for this out there.

btw.. Do not buy this if you value your marriage/kids/social life - you may be in danger of losing it all to this "devils spawn" of a game

Yes you can buy more than one copy. Each purchase contains a serial key that you can add to your existing account on FML and extend the sub by a further 4 months per key.

Excellent; so 12 months for just under £30

Also, on older gameworlds such as Fowler you can get a free trial (which i think is for a season which is 4 weeks realtime) so these can be added on top of the free trial for further savings!! And yeah as Apeds says you can stack the sub codes.

Do you actually know you can keep using free 4 month trials? I suspect you can't.

As for the WoW example above that's complete bull. It's really hard to explain so I'm not even going to try.

Put it this way Football Managers live data could be taken from a simple SQL database. WoWs live data couldn't, it needs servers to process what people are doing and forward that on the fly information to the clients. It will almost certainly have databases behind it too, but football manager will only need these.

Hey I pretty much did just explain it :)

You can use a 4 month sub from a boxed copy of the game to renew your subscription every 4 months. I extended my sub using the code in the box for the second time yesterday.
