£63 delivered if you go through Ubisoft and use 100 Club Units. Club Units are basically XP gained on your gamer tag and are so easily instantly earned by playing any games from their stable. Once you have a 100 points you simply convert into a checkout code for 20% off.

Probably because it's £70. For me, just because something is cheaper than elsewhere, that doesn't automatically make it a good deal. £87 is a ripoff. £82 is a ripoff. £70 is still a ripoff. You could nearly buy two newly released games with that.

With the way that games have been going over the last few months, in my opinion you would be a fool to preorder something. Just a few examples:
Deus Ex-august-£13
WWE 2k17-october-£20
Dishonored 2-October-around the £20 mark (PO/New depending)
Battleborn-may-£4
Mafia 3-October-£18-£22 (the deluxe edition is now £32 which is less than half the price it was on launch)
It's just not worth preordering I can't see anywhere running out of stock of this game, so just wait for it

I would have to agree with you regarding the publishers asking price and how much they drop the price within a few weeks of release.
Im pretty sure the price of this game will drop like a stone with Ubisoft opting for Peer 2 Peer vs dedicated servers for multiplayer.
Also I personally dont think there is any point in purchasing the Gold Edition as all the content will eventually be free.

Then it's still a preorder :p (you missed my point, I meant that prices will 9/10 times drop, sometimes a lot within a few months as per my examples)

The season pass works like R6: Siege's, it gets you one week early access to the new heroes before they're available for free to everyone. So it's a massive waste of money.

Most ubisoft games lose value very rapidly and this is a very niche game (I love it personally) definitely gonna wait a few week for the price to drop.

not really because the currency needed to buy hero's will be very hard to top up unless you buy, if you really enjoy the game then the season pass is always worth it.

it's just a shame that this is the way games work nowadays, basically forced to pay for a game twice if you enjoy it or want the most out of it.

Aye I know, and I think a game + season pass is a ripoff at £70. As I said, that could almost get you two separate newly released games.
Maybe if the ~£30 season pass allowed you to get an almost entire game's worth of content at release, then it would be worth it.

But if you really enjoy the game, surely playing more to get the currency required won't be an issue? I played a ton of Mass effect 3 online. The drop rate for the currency to buy new loot boxes was dire, but I didn't mind because I enjoyed the game so much. But hey, we're in the day and age where you can just pay money to unlock things rather than, you know, playing the game. And for only £30... almost the cost of another game.

Madness.

indeed I agree with you but not everyone has so much time to play games they love (I have 3 little girls to watch pets and a house to clean) haha season passes such as the r6 pass save me time and I'm sure other gamer dad's too.

Yeah, but that's free in real world money. I just can't imagine caring enough about a game that I want more skins/ characters, but don't want to actually play the game to unlock them.

That's the reality of modern gaming. This is still a deal cheaper than everywhere else at the moment yes it maybe pricey still but if someone wants the game plus season pass now then what are they to do pay the full £87 ?

It's 2017 - back in the early 1990's new Super Nintendo game releases where £60-65.

As much as I agree that when you buy a game it should include everything the reality is in modern gaming that you buy a season pass. All major titles now have this setup. And the cheapest way to currently buy this one right now is this deal.

Not at all. I've bought 3 season passes to date. Borderlands 2, Borderlands Pre-Sequel (And that was bloody terrible)
and the Witcher 3's expansion pass. All 3 of those added a fair amount of content to the game. They didn't just unlock stuff quicker. To be honest I am a fan of UbiSoft's approach to season passes now, since they're not charging for extra content. I'd never buy one though.

I do like ubisofts approach on the dlc. I get annoyed at publishers who include the dlc on the disk then charge for it. In my eyes that's taking the pee wee
