I know it's another PCH but seems a decent price for a very well received car. Zetec S looks much nicer than I lower spec models in my opinion but not as boy racer like as the ST and also has the financial benefits of lower running costs.
What does everyone think?
Anyone have any experience of this car or an alternative you could recommend?
Cheers

EDIT: added the 8000 miles pa costs, seems a better deal. This is available on http://www.contracthireandleasing.com but not shown on the future vehicle leasing website, so you will need to call for this one.

10,000 miles PA works out at £3,479.71 (£144.99 equivalent per month), so would probably be better going with the 8,000 and taking the extra mileage charge depending on your usage. This can often be the case with lease deals where the excess mileage is less than taking the higher mileage lease.

No she hired it ;)

Thanks. I think I would prefer this deal personally as the 10,000 mile pa makes it more suitable for me. That is a good price though.

I think it's a super deal for a new car, had me checking the annual running costs for my current car!
#6
Super deal. Heat added. Thanks

Thanks. Adding in RFL, roadside recovery, outside warranty repairs and depreciation it's not a bad option. Plus the added benefit of peace of mind regarding repayments is what I'm after having spent nearly £2000 on repairs and maintenance on my 11 year old car in the past 2 years!
#9
Very good deal. Would have gone for this if it had been 5 door.
#10
I don't think they do the Zetec S or ST models in 5 door unfortunately, I think it's in order to maintain a sporty look.

Ouch. I posted a deal a few weeks ago that worked out at £100 a month at 8,000 miles.

Unlikely, they'll just say that leasing is terrible and their Rover 400 that cost £200 10 years ago has cost £7 a year to run and insure

I bought one of these myself from here, the special editions have some little extras which make it worthwhile.

That's a very good deal, it would be interesting to see what the price would be for 10k miles. Which colour did you get? And how are you by finding the car?
#17
at the moment I am looking foir a new car and have been looking at the zetec-s however, I have found that leasing has low milage use. I do just under 20k miles a year :/ possible finance is better but without much of a deposit, its gonna be hard!

good deal if you dont go over 10k :)
#18
Yeah I agree, higher mileage brings higher depreciation which means higher lease costs and negates some of the benefits of leasing; the main one in my opinion being low monthly payments.
#19
I agree with OP, these are nicer than standard models. Great deal! I've already got a "Red Edition" coming in 19 days (not that I'm counting) or else I'd consider this! As for this car, I test drove one and it feels a reasonably nippy little car. Not a sportscar by any stretch, but good enough to have fun in.
#20
Thanks for the info, I'm hoping to test drive this weekend. Enjoy your red edition!

This is the Zetec S which I believe is better spec than the Zetec (although it depends on individual needs). Also I think the 1.0 Ecoboost is more efficient, although there probably isn't much in it, but it is more powerful than the 1.25. Excellent prices for either though, and the Fiesta in general is meant to be one of the best in it's class so for these prices we are seeing great value for money if personal leases suit your needs.

Weird how a similar deal for around £700 more got over 600 heat 3 months ago. This must be a good deal then? I think I'm gonna go for it if the test drive is good.

Anyone here have one of these cars as I'd love to hear you opinions, reviews are good but not as good as owners opinions in my book!
#27
Any one else jumped in on this deal - or gone for something similar

Many thanks in advance.

I have had many Fords over the last few years (Focus' and Fiesta's).

This is a great little car, looks good, drives well and this engine has quite a bit of poke too.

One negative I would like to add is that the advertised MPG with this engine is about 30% exaggerated at least. However based on 8,000 or 10,000 miles per annum, the additional cost should not be huge.

If I was looking to replace, I would be all over this deal. HEAT

Thanks for posting. I ended up going with gateway2lease after looking around. Wanted this car for a while. Got this car for £122/month at 10,000 miles per annum. 600 odd initial payment, not sure if you mentioned that in your one? Delivery March though so can't come quick enough:D

Always worth asking how much it is to add fully maintained. Covers tyres and services, which you will need 2 of.
1 Like #31
You only need to get a service at 12 months and not at 24 when you give it back.

Service on my last Fiesta in June was approx £140 although but you can expect to pay between £120 and - £150 depending on the dealer and location.

Depending on how your drive, you may / may not have to change the front 2 tyres. 17" premium will set you back about £80 each.

So all in (£80 + £80 + £140) = £300. If maintenance is £10 p/m or less then it is worth having, but I expect it to be more like £15 or £20 so probably not.

Brake pads and wipers etc should be OK for 20,000 miles. Everything else is covered under waranty.

@ Doppleclanger - hope you enjoy :)
