And I would like to see you go faster for less.....

Or if you can't do that, then maybe you shouldn't vote cold just because the deal is not for you.

Fine, thanks- then don't take up this offer. Something tells me you won't be able to go quite as fast on the public roads with Mr Ford Salesman in the passenger seat as you will be able to round the track?

And tbh I can't really see too many chavs having £30,000 lying about to buy one of these, as you said it's a drivers car, not a chavved up Saxo....

Scenario 1:

The other day i drove a Lamborghini/Ferrari around a track, only cost me about £70
*Everybody gasps and asks how it was*

Scenario 2:

The other day i drove a Ford Focus around a track for almost £40
*Everybody gives a funny look and then continues drinking*

BTW my mate has an RS Focus, and yes they are good drivers cars but to be honest they arent that special. They get good reviews because they make driving to work fun, but they do not hold a candle to a lambo or an R8. I personally wouldnt pay 40 quid for this. Much more fun in a lotus exige which they do for around 40-50 at Croft every now and then, or as said above pay 70 and have done with it. The warm up laps on R8 days are often in focus RS's.

"Everybody" being the people down the pub - great. Who cares? I don't care who is impressed or not. I know that for £38 I am driving a car that is superb in every way. Yes you can do the Ferrari and other supercar experiences - why not - but this is certainly one to do too - that is, if you really like and appreciate driving fast cars.

Oh and it's not just a Ford Focus, it's an RS - there is actually quite a difference, hence why you can drive it round a track and why it is known as quite possibly the best ever hot hatch made.

Listen, each to their own yeah.....really annoys me when people rip to bits something they don't understand.

Ah yes, I do love the driver experience of sitting in a seat on a plane, thrilling stuff.

And I have driven an R8, and it was amazing but still want to drive this to experience it and compare.

its still a ford focus...dull salesman car in chav drag...prefer the less showy golf gti or golf r or a3, not quite as quick but will outlast the focus that will rapdily disintegrate long before the vw and audi have been barely run in
focus is a bit like taking the missus to wetherspoons for valentines rather than a decent restaurant

I think you're all being way too hard on JPS.
If your into your hot hatchbacks and fancy a spin around a track then this deal may well be for you.
If you wanna pay more and go for a spin in a Lambo or R8 then move along.
No need to turn this into a debate on a cars chab-ability factor.
#16
Cheap price but not my bag personally. As I drive a faster car day in day out, I personally want something faster on a track day.

Good deal for those who like this type of car though, and don't have access to better cars.

You've probably never been on one of these "track days" then.

You usually have somebody sitting next to you telling you when to change gear and to slow down more when going through corners. The only exception being the bloke with a Lotus Exige who was egging me on and scaring the life out of me.

I may have just gone there on the wrong day though.
#22
This might be useful for anyone thinking of buying one as personal experience my local ford garage were only giving passenger rides in place of a test frive, of course which ended any interest I had in buying one. (he BS' ed that it was something to do with their insurance). I could understand if I was a teenager but at 32 and a cash buyer seems crazy to me.
#23
Hot from me, it's not like driving a focus zetec, and anyone who knows a thing will know what RS is all about.

Is this cheaper anywhere else ?
#24
OP, just ignore those people who don't seem to think there's a difference between a standard focus and the rs, they're never going to appreciate a deal like this. I've actually already bought this for my other half. For christmas, I got him the experience for the ferrari and lambo, and thought I might as well get the rs too seeings its so cheap and we're going all the way to leicester for it. Saying all that, I didn't pay this much for it.

Ha ha sounds like my experience in a Ferrari Testarossa on a track day, he gave me a lap of telling me what to do, then said im happy with your line lets open it up a bit, next thing i know he pushing me to go round another Ferrari and then beeps the horn and makes guestures at the guy driving it when we pass him :-D , Great experience.

If you live near the track then £40 for a good howl around a track in a Focus RS isn't a bad deal and would be good for a laugh, sadly for me no tracks near me so wouldnt be worth the effort to get there. Good deal if ya close and want some fun though.

Some time ago my girlfriend bought me for my birthday a 'day' at a rally school and went mad in a rally car, albeit a lower grade one, then had a blast in the Honda pilots and then in the quads. It was a great day and lasted more than a few laps in a chavvy FWD repmobile.

Yep I have done a track day in an R8 and I was allowed to drive as fast and hard as I wanted to, instructor was young and chilled - I have heard that some are much stricter but I really enjoyed it, engine sounded incredible.

That is crazy. If you are a genuine buyer they should let you take one out to see if you want to buy one! Maybe the salesman just really wanted to drive it instead lol

Exactly, not quite the same as your average 1.6 zetec lol - you won't find this cheaper anywhere else if you use the discount code!

can someone explain to me what a chav is then... i thought a chav was a low life, usually none working, claiming benefits, 6 kids by the age of 21, and all that.

So how does a chav own a £30k car.

lol!!!! Great point. Maybe some people are just commenting on things they don't know about or just presume it is "chavvy" as it has a body kit and a spoiler - just like most Ferraris and Lambos do!!
#37
JPS, your taking all the comments a bit persoanlly ain't ya? You on Prestwold Hall commision or something?
#38
Great find OP voted hot.

Ignore the trolls who are so insecure they feel the need to turn this into a pointless 'best car' debate, Im sure any driver who enjoys driving fast cars who would be interested in trying this car on a track, regardless of what they drive or have driven.

R32 will not know which way a well driven Focus RS has gone. As for handling it's too nose heavy to be fun in the twisties. Looks are pretty subjective but I do admit the R32 sounds lovely at full chat.

It just frustrates me that's all. I'm glad some people can appreciate this deal anyway.
