after playing abit of joy ride i some how feel doing like 30+ laps on some forza races will make your arms just go dead.

I just do not see how this is going to work properly as a racing simulation without physical controls.

It could perhaps use the Kinect sensor to sense when you tilt your head ie going into the corners.

I feel that kinnect, is way over priced, microsoft said it would £50 quid....

And the sum of its parts cost only £35 to produce.....so yes I think it should be sold to suppliers for £50, with the consumer paying no more than £70

I think just work the same as joyride i'm guessing..
It is a bit expensive i will agree, but i got mine for £90 so not complaining.
But I agree, Forza will only work with a steering wheel or a pad, But I'm open to suprise.

Its over priced for a piece of technology that struggles to recognise coloured people and for these sort of games were timing is crucial it has a slight input lag due to processing time.

This is what they showed of it a E3 this year

It looks like the sort of thing that could easily have been realsed as DLC at 800 MS points for Forza 3 and included as standard on the recently released Forza 3 Ultimate Edition

Those figures don't include R&D or advertising costs, the cost to ms is more than just the cost of the parts per unit.

wow, some of you guys really do just spout what you've read elsewhere without actually trying something to write with experience, don't you???

If the cost of it's parts is 35 quid, and you feel that's what it should cost, then how to justify 40 quid for COD black ops? That's just software... the cost of the disc and packaging? Pennies!

Think you will find there is quite a bit of difference between a software house and game production revenue compared to hardware design by a major company.

Yes aware there has to be markups, hence the link I gave and the mention there, but £95 is ridiculous, bearing in mind that it is hardware that gets the software sales (and with that commission for the harware manufacturer) and generally especially earlier on in life consoles are actually manufactured and sold at cost, or with the PS3 actually at a loss.

What a load of tripe you spout mate. Do you even own the kit? I do and let me tell you its phenomenal. Every piece of hardware is supported by the firmware behind it. There has been some serious R&D put into this. God knows how many man hours. But sure, we all go to work for free dont we? Why dont you pop dien your local Currys and pick up a cheap camera to plug into the front of your Xbox, sure its the same thing isnt it?

You get what you pay for. Price is only expensive in relation to whats in your pocket and how much you want something. For me Kinect is awesome, its everything i hoped it would be and the kids love it and my mother had fun on it too. In fact everyone i shown it too had such a laugh using it.

Although i did pay £89 for it with some vouchers, Quidco etc i think its still worth the asking price.

Remember this comment is from someone who actually owns one, has a family who will get the most out of it and has played on it extensivley. ;)

From the video preview it looks like the Kinect element will be viewing the cars, opening doors etc...bit gimmicky. Personally i dont see kinect and forza being a good combination (and YES I do own Forza and I do own Kinect - which I absolutely love!!)

Kinect is best at the party/family games such as sports, dance central - and of course fitness evolved for the wife. Fantastic piece of tech.
