I think FH is great, but you're going to need a big coat!

Its alot to spend on one game but it's still cheaper than the UK Microsoft store and probably cheaper than buying a disc copy followed by all the extras. I'm happy with the standard edition for now but will probably end up buying the extras if they ever go on sale.

It makes me sad to think there's some people out there that consider £70 for a digital download of a game a good deal.

Well really apart from the game, all the other content is downloadable,
VIP Pass-£15 for a card or £16.50ish from microsoft
Car Pass-£25
All Stars Car Pack-Around £7
So that totals £47 and the game cost me £35 from amazon so even then this option would actually be cheaper if I wanted everything
But lets say you bought forza for £42 (Average price) so for that with all the DLC it would be £89

Just what I personally consider a good deal.
If a game's announced to release with optional rubbish at £200 and a company crops up selling it for £190, I wouldn't consider it very good value just because it's cheaper than somewhere else.

That's not what this is about though, this site is to get the cheapest deal, not for what you consider a good deal to you

Agreed. If this is the cheapest price it's a deal.

Much as I love the Forza and Forza Horizon series, this gets a cold from me. IMHO, with the possible exception of Forza 5, which was a tad stingy, the base game really is all you need for the full experience, the extras are just icing on an already incredibly generous cake, pick them up if they go on offer but don't sweat it if they don't as the base game has all you need....

If I buy this from here does it still class as xbox play everywhere? Or do I have to purchase directly from the Xbox store for that?

Yeah, just look at all the heat this cracking "deal" is getting.

Not true at all. I can go on google and look up the cheapest price on a Dyson for example. Just because I found a retailer that's less than the rest, does not make it a good deal and it wouldn't warrant me posting a deal on this site just because it's the lowest available at that time.

But its not like CDKeys is 'some' site, it is an authorised retailer/seller on HUKD, plenty of people use it and post deals for it. IF you want the ultimate edition of forza horizon 3 digitally and don't want to wait, this is the cheapest at the moment, the price maybe a lot but the fact remains its the cheapest around for digital.

The cheapest price at a given time =/= a good deal.
Just because you find something lower than it's sold by its competitors, that doesn't mean it's a good deal. If that were the only criteria for a good deal, this site would be flooded with countless products, all being posted because they're currently the cheapest for that item.

This Forza deal, just isn't a good deal.

At what point did I say that the cheapest price meant it was a deal? I merely said that this was the cheapest digital copy, never said it was a deal. But all that aside, normally in the gaming section the cheaper the price the better of a deal something is. Ie you wouldn't get someone voting a game at £39.99 when somewhere else has it for £33.99

That was my original point. I didn't think you'd bother to reply defending CDkeys just because I implied (didn't even say) 'some' place in my hypothetical scenario. What's the point?

So if the cheapest price is RRP then it's a deal?

It's funny how £70 feels an obscene amount of money for a game these days. Like you say there is no way i'd pay this much for a game, but when you think back, N64 games were £60 new in 1997! And we get a lot more gameplay out of modern games.

All good points, for me it was the residual value of a physical cartridge that made me happy to collect N64 games and stump-up the initial high costs. Digital games or DLC content force me to evaluate just the 'entertainment price'. This probably explains why I only buy digital when it goes on sale or when it's released cheap in the first place!

Up until this week that is exactly how I felt as well. I'd always thought it's just better value to have the physical media whether that be CDs/DVD/Blu-Rays/Games, but I've been convinced this is no longer true of games.
With digital downloads you don't have to keep switching discs when you want to play different games.
You have to install the games to play them anyway so you aren't saving disk space by having the physical copy.
There's no risk of scratching discs or losing them.
You don't have the noise of the disc spinning.

The only real positive of a physical copy is you don't have to use lots of bandwidth downloading the whole game, but the updates for modern games are so big you may as well!

Saying all this i DO think it's madness that buying the physical disc is normally CHEAPER than a digital copy.

Agreed but things change and they improve. On the same token VHS tapes were incredibly expensive also. Then in comparison we had the ps, xbox and gamecube generation where games were the longest, worked out of the box, no dlc or other content to worry about and still the time and content was far far more than the games these days WITH the season pass. It's also the fact the more we pay for this stuff the worse this money gouging situation will get.
#21
It doesn't stop there no doubt, bonus packs ect the cost just keeps rising.
I think everyone on the game forums xbox & ps should just boycott purchasing games in store & online for 6 months. They will soon start panicking.
PS sorry voted Cold....
