Fosters 10 pack lager 440ml cans currently selling for £5 in the Express sites.... this is NOT available in Superstores to my knowledge
There are better deals out there for larger cases but for £5 its pretty good in my view.
This is not a deal for Real Ale drinkers so all you 'Connoisseur's' looking for finest exports look away ;0)

That's what he said in the post 'there are better deals out there'...

But if you only want 10 cans, you wont find a better deal than £5 surely?

Point well and truly missed!!! :-D

Voted hot, this is a good deal and if you dont want 30 cans then arguably a better deal than the Asda offer.
#8
This ASDA deal is not that much better,
the TESCO is 0.5 per can,
ASDA is 0.46 per can so it is 4 pence only..

Is better to spend 5 than 14. HOT, thx!
#9
great price. just a shame that it tastes like lager flavoured water.
#10
Cracking deal...although i need to lose the spare tyre round my waist...this won't help

...Yeah because that makes senese....not. Thats like looking at two deals £10 for 10 cans or £10.50 for 11 cans, your reasoning would be "Better to spend £10" which doesn't make sense. It depends what you define as "Better".

This is a very good deal, hot, for those that want to spend a fiver. But if you are a fan of Fosters lager, the Asda one is better as noted.

Fosters...pointless

debating the issues of lager in the uk...why would anyone drink anything other than Stella, mmmmm and its no coincidence that i was born exactly 600 years after it was invented.

Stella, always delivers , never lets you down, ive drunk my way through more crises than you've had hot dinners!!

I doubt that Stella Artois was around 600 years ago...

they probably just started brewing beer around 600 years ago, mainly for water consumption because they boiled it to kill the harmful microrganisms in the normal water, also for calorific intake :)

although Stella isnt a bad beer, there are so many european beers that trump it by miles:

- Jelen Pivo in Serbia is one of the best i have ever had
- Budvar straight from the brewery in Ceske Budejovice, so tasty :)
- Many belgian beers

I personally quite like Fosters. It is a drink sold in hundreds of thousands of shops across the UK, I think that should tell you that there are people out there who like it even if you are not one of them.

I'm willing to look past the image of the drink, and for my tastes I find it's about my favourite reasonably priced beer widly sold everywhere. Especially the imported stuff rather than brewed under license in the UK.

Much better than Fosters I think, which isn't even legally allowed to be called a beer in some countries (or so I've been told, possibly this is inaccurate information from someone who really doesn't like Fosters!)

And Stella is currently on offer in tesco

20 x 440ml cans for a tenner so works out the same as this offer in terms of value ( for all us chavs who like Stella ! )

Don't particularly like Fosters but I would consider buying it at this price.

The amusing thing is I've travelled all around Australia, and lived out there for over a year and not once did I come across Fosters....and the only aussies that have heard of it are the ones here!

Fosters is pointless in my opinion as well (as I dont like it), I'll give you that, but it said not to complain in the title. I like Stella too, however it is not the best lager, and I can see why people wouldnt want to drink it (may be too gassy or % a bit high for casual drinking) however I'd say it is the best lager that offers good value, a good trade off between price and quality I think I'm trying to say.

However other beers I've had recently like Birra Morreti (I think its spelt like that), Warsteiner, Bitburger and Peroni (not quite so much) are all better, but you have to pay that bit extra which isn't always worth it - but well worth trying if you havent had them before (they have them in Tesco).

Here are the Tesco deals if you want to spend an extra fiver on top of this deal
(In store and online I think)
Stella Artois 20 x 440ml £10
Carlsberg 24 x 440ml £10
Carling 24 x 440ml £10
Boddingtons Draught 24 x 440ml £10
Blackthorn 24 x 440ml £10

I might stock up on some stella, 50p a can is quite a bargain

Stella is chav beer.

Carlsberg, XXXX and own brand beer I'd say are cheapest and nastiest IMO, if you are looking for "Chav" beers. Fosters and Carling slightly ahead of them. Then you are in Stella and Carlberg Export territory - respectable beers :D (well for the UK anyway)

However each to their own, not everyone enjoys the same things, nor have the same taste buds. I'm sure this is a great deal if you like Fosters
#29
Its amazing..... Put a beer deal on here and it becomes battle of who has the classiest tastebuds!!!
If you don't like Fosters...move away from the conversation! :P
Personally i'm waiting for a Poncha deal!

Boddington's is a bitter, it's nothing like Guiness. Think Tetley's, or Greenking. I can't think of many other bitters, can't seem I'm keen on any of them.

If you're looking for a cheap Guiness alternative, try Murphy's.

I love proper 5% abv Fosters I wish they would sell that over here. This stuff just tastes like p!ss though!

Good deal if you actually like this stuff tho.
#33
FFS what do you lot want for a fiver these days?

IMO if you are on a budget or don't have much spare cash (which a lot of peeps are at the mo) 10 cans of lager for £5 is a good deal. Perfect for a bbq ... that is, if the rain holds off long enough!
