BUT...
A poster with the INTELLIGENCE to start one thread for a group of older games unlike some fool that needed to waste people's time with half a dozen threads worth of (mostly) NON-backwards compatible XBOX titles, available "used" for a quid or 2 MAX because they had nothing better to do...

Just checking.....these games will work on the GBMicros we got cheap a couple of months ago won't they???
#11
Sigma Star is worth £6 trade in @ Game. So buy 4 for £10 and trade them in for £24 over double your money on them. I traded a couple in last week and got a couple more to take in this week.
#12
Rebelstar: Tactical Command averages 78 on metacritic, speccy aficionados might remember the original.

If you keep taking the same game to the same store, won't the trade in value decrease?

About the only one worth anything at CEX is Rebelstar at £3 cash or £4 trade-in.....most wouldn't even come up on their search screen.

This might have something to do with at least one of the london stores (Tottenham Court Rd) now not taking 'older' system games, only 360, some PC, PS3 (don't recall if they were taking PS2?) so it might be that some formats might be phased out of some of the stores...although it may have just been this one??!?

Don't know if we've got any CEX staff out there that can let us know...?

It usually takes a fairly large influx of one title for this to happen, but there was a PSP title available @ Virgin for a fiver that was posted here & it dropped through the floor (think it was about £12 trade-in that fell to around £4) in a matter of a couple of days....

Gamestation take anything, they took my PS1 console and 10 games for £26 earlier on this year :-)

ironically rebelstar is the only one that Game wouldnt trade cos its not on their system.

Probably not a point worth making, but I've noted CHARLIETHIRTYTWO that you are both self-proclaimed "INTELLIGENT"sia and someone who knows how to use bolded letters. Wow! :giggle:

Voted hot - at 2.50 each for unused games - it's got to be worth a punt for stocking fillers...

not so much self proclaimed - more a case of highly esteemed as voted for by other members - this seems to confirm it as fact..http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/memberlist.php?&order=DESC&sort=reputation&pp=30

Why do you type EVERYTHING in bold

It's only a point not worth making when you notice I was praising the OP for having the intelligence to group the titles in this offer rather than post each title individually as the very person that has knocked others for doing so did last night & ended up with a bunch of frozen deals for this stupid action.

Is there some reason I shouldn't?....Surely it's no more irritating than hypocrisy??!?

There is no such thing as fact, just socially constructed observations. It's also worth noting that one is only as good as one's last post. The fairy can become a dragon, the gentle ghost a ghoul, the freedom fighter a terrorist. But to move back from the abstact to the immediate, the point being made was that there is no need for sarcasm and scathing wit, especially when it is at the expense of others... "hypocrisy", "stupidity" etc - why don't we drop these words (and the bold type)?

I didnt knock him i was merely saying the collection in the offer was rubbish i never mentioned about sorting things together

Stop posting in bold its annoying - worse than caps
#28
Yes, why do you type in bold?

These games are pretty much ****. Not worth it for £10 alone.

A. I'm am most definitely not a man if you read my I'm pregnant post you will have realised this.
B. Not the greatest of titles but as several people have pointed out some good trade in values.
C. some good stocking fillers for the (undemanding) kids Christmas.

like i posted some are quite good trade in value. so maybe not a great selection or even great games BUT double your money on them to put towards another game or console isnt that bad is it?

I'm sure they'd rather have one £10 game that is enjoyable to play though... is buying rubbish games just because they are cheap a false economy?

Just because it's cheap dosen't make it rubbish to all kids.
My kids 9 & 10 enjoy playing mighty beans, monster house, leminy snickets and other cheap games, and my kids would never dream of asking for a single game for £10 when they know they can get more for their money.
#34
zooo is a great little game too. paid £3 to get a similar game on my mobile lol.

but not all the games are rubbish (to me at least).

rebelstar and sigma star are pretty decent games, poker is poker and you can't really go wrong with that and i know a kid whose birthday is coming up soon that's mad on samurai jack, so that's that one sorted too.

all in all, for a tenner, it's a bloody good deal.
