This would appeal (only) to overclockers. This MB was selling for up to £250 when first launched 18 months ago. Using the X48 chipset it does crossfire at 16x and 16x (compared to 8x 8x with P45. Looking through the net for reviews tells me that this is a MB for keen overclockers. Someone managed to overclock their Q6600 to 4Ghz... (I only managed 3Ghz with my now dead P35 motherboard). Just check out the reviews:
There is a MSI x48 board which is slightly cheaper and a ASUS one which is slightly more expensive, but both are inferior to this in terms of features. There are other ASUS ones using x48 costing nearly £200. Of course socket 775 is now obsolete but the i5 and i7 CPU and MB are around £150 a piece...The choice is yours!
