They occasionally do odd prices. I had a Xeon server 1U rackmount honoured a few months ago for £18

Its a bit strange as its low priced in quite a few places on Google shopping. Only £38 at www.pchardwareuk.com although not used them before.

and computerwebstore (at 40.42 delivered) but they all have 11 in stock so are probably the same company.
#5
Maybe they offering a discount like MSI did to launch them onto the market.
I ordered from PCHardwareUK.com and it was only £30 odd including delivery.
#6
more likely a misprice, but worth a bash though.
#7
Ive ordered one at that price, lets hope they honour it. Itll be a good cheap upgrade from my dual core :)
Well spotted op.
#8
Voted hot, misprice or not op posted good deal shame delivery is £16 to me still worth it though
#9
I just got 2. The one on the pchardwareuk.com was at £13 then they changed it to TBC while I added it to my basket so just went with 2 @ £45. Should be a good one and going straight on Ebay :)

I've not built a system for about 5 years.
What other components would anyone recommend to go with this.
e.g. what's the system price likely to end up for a half-decent game machine?
#11
looks like they've all been sold. comes up as low stock warning when you click on buy.

thanks to op. rep left.
#12
Excellent spot.

Only 2 left when I ordered. If you're lucky you might get the last one!

You will definately need :-

An Intel Core i7 processor (Socket 1366 not the newer socket 1156)
DDR3 memory, preferably triple-channel (3 sticks of the same speed & size)

You will almost certainly need :-

A PCI-Express graphics card
A new power supply with 24-pin + 8-pin ATX power connectors

You may also need :-

A new SATA hard drive or SSD
A new optical drive
A new case (full size ATX)
Operating system (Linux, Windows, whatever)

As for cost, well the cheapest Core i7 920 processor is about £200, 3 Gb triple-channel memory £55. Other items vary in cost depending on what you choose to buy. It certainly won't be the cheapest PC you can put together, but it will be one of the best.

I'll have to do some reading!
#17
To all those that ordered, I hope there was enough stock for you and enjoy your purchase! I didn't order personally as I don't plan on building a new PC for myself til next year...I was comparing prices for a mate who i'm building a new one for ;-)

I think they are legit, however they have a mixed review when it comes to customer service looking at the links below, including a history of saying product is out of stock.

I’ve dealt with Ballicom before ordering servers and also cancelling orders and didn’t have a problem with them; they are definitely legit.

Plenty of other sources on Google Products for this board in the range £29 to £63 including some familiar legit sites.

Well the keyboard Im using now is from them and it turned up on time . But they're no scan.co.uk so yeah I'm just keeping fingers crossed.

If you get them at that price that's the Mobo deal of the year.

Tried to order from Ballicom but cards are being declined.

Tried to buy from ballicom, it had apparently come down to £15?! Went to buy one got all the way through the process then my bank *apparently* wouldn't authorise the transaction, on either of my cards. Seems very fishy to me

Just ordered one... I managed to pay with my Switch card despite many failed attempts due to "Bank does not authorise the payment".

I checked the stock level after I've ordered, it fell from 11 to 10... so I hope their stock tracking is genuinely working.
#32
Do you think it was only cos it was on your switch or was it just your persistance that did it?
#33
Initially I thought there was something wrong with my card, but I kept trying (I lost count but certainly no less than 7-8 failure attempts) and it went through. I did access my account online to check my balance is fine when I was struggling, so it might be just a temporary glitch with the online payment system.

Perhaps try again for a few times... good luck.
#34
Yea just go through before I read your comment! haha. fingers crossed for us both hey it actually arrives! Would be a bargain. Might just stick mine on fleabay if it does come!

EDIT: have some rep anyway for replying and trying to help me out :) all the best mate

Tempted to order but seems very unlikely its a genuine deal!

Not voted as someone has expired the thread.

Probably going to take until end of Monday for them to sort out the orders (and probably start panicking about the overwhelming orders!).
