Unsure how good Fractal PSU's are but seems a decent deal as the PSU on its own is over £40 meaning you get the R4 for £50

Yes, not sure if this one is HEC though:

That only list a 600W from ATNG and called Newton R3. While this seems be an '600W Essence Black' of which I can't find any reviews or indication as to who makes it. So it's basically an unknown power supply.

I have a Newton R2. More expensive, but excellent, so I'd be surprised if the cheaper models weren't good value.

Quality case costs about £70 normally (worth the money), so that's £20 for the power supply but never heard about it it so judge for yourself.

IMO, the case is getting outdated. It needs a new revision but this is still a great bundle.

"case is outdated" lol what exactly makes a case "outdated"? it still looks fantastic and great compatibility in terms of sizes regard fans mounts, rads and GPU length so....?

On a different not, I have never seen or heard of FD Essence Black PSU.. they dont list them on their website at all

Good deal, but can't seem to find review on PSU anywhere, however found this combo on other sites. Has anyone found a review of this combo/PSU?

Well, it can't fit a 240mm Rad at the top natively, and with improved internal designs from the newer Arc Midi/Mini R2, then I would say that it is indeed outdated.

Still a great case, but IMO it needs a small refresh. It came out in 2012 and 2014 cases are very feature-rich.

It defo fits some 240 rads without any messing about i.e H100i, read that it also depends on your motherboards heatsink. I wouldnt mind seeing an updated version of this case too, its a great case and a few more tweaks couldnt hurt ;)

It can fit a 240 radiator in the top ( 280 will conflict with the top of the motherboard) and a 280 radiator in the front (move around drive cages)

The Fractal design core 3500 is the new budget fractal case. These are similar priced but the r4 is still better in my opinion (check reviews). I want to see the new premium cases but on a simple straight forward build I still think fractal r4 is the way to go

As im looking to build a gaming PC, I came across this case on many websites with fantastic reviews, I am not bothered about all the flashy fans and lights ect so this will suit perfectly, and as my father has one already, I understand that this case is incredible quality for the money and great noise reduction.

Purchased Thanks.

i have both R3 & R4 both great cases The R4 can fit huge cpu Sink in it too ie the nocturn
can highly recommend, they are very heavy cases with bitchumen for insulation

Just unboxed mine, its HUUUUGE compared to the cheap ass zoostorm mid tower its replacing! gonna have to rethink where its gonna go, excellent build quality though and the PSU comes pre installed with plenty of connectors and zip ties (fully wired and not modular/semi modular).
#17
Is the PSU 80+ Bronze or above?
#18
Not sure yet havent built it, will check it out tonight and let you know

Doesnt say Bronze 80+ on it but it is black and says powered by HEC and has a HEC-600TC part number on it on it so could be this one I guess http://www.hec-group.com.tw/power_supply/#tc looks like it and that is Bronze 80+ but it isnt modular like the one in the link so anyone's guess really!

Loads of space inside, cable management and mobo fitting a dream and loads for room for a high CPU Cooler, incredibly quiet even when stress testing the CPU, cooling seems decent a good few degress lower than the old piece of crap I had before. Loads of spare screws, grommets and cable ties included.

Weighs a tonne but sturdy and looks good, very happy with it so far!

Yeah thanks for the info. I went for a Semi-Modular PSU. Case is very good, used to have it.
