Review
'If you like Harry Potter and the Da Vinci Code, why are you even looking at this, you retard?' Jimmy Carr 'My Shit Life So Far, showcases that cruel and unusual comedy that's become Frankie's trademark, and should probably be enjoyed far away from hot liquids... bizarre, intelligent and abusively hilarious.' **** The List 'Quite triumphantly, this is the most abusive, obscene, insulting memoir yet published...Many, many funny lines here. A difficult book to read sedately in public.' The Evening Standard 'Fans of Boyle's dark style will hope this book provides laughs-a-plenty and an antidote to the play-it-safe, sickly sweet autobiographies of other so-called celebrities. They will not be disappointed.' Dave TV

Can't find this any cheaper!

Hilarious! Slightly funnier than Bruce Forsythe.

Nice one! Thanx.

Love the way you omitted a word from the headline and then added a picture of the book's cover.

Strange review, "Jimmy Carr" :-D

#14
I'm waiting for the 'tasteless' posts.....I love him though!

Hmmm "stop watering down my act" as Jerry Sadowitz says!
#16
he's about as funny as 9/11

Sometimes he hits the mark, sometimes he's a bit "try-hard" for my liking. And yes, Jerry Sadowitz said he'd do a tour in a not-very-subtle riposte to Mr Boyle called, "'I'd Happily Punch Frankie Boyle in the Face'."

Fight! Fight! Fight!

PS: I'm on Jerry Sadowitz' side :)

My boss in work went to an xmas night out last year in the Stand comedy club in Glasgow and FB got up and tested his material to see what worked and what didnt.

I'll probably buy the FB book for my oldest daughter (she loves him in mock the week)

Anyway a much funnier guy here...

If you go to Frankie's web site there are some extracts there,it's good. Audio version will be good. Well spotted.

Jerry's website, posted above, sadly has eff-all on it at the moment, and is nowhere near representative of how brilliant a comedian he is.

I remember when he posted a picture of his p*nis on there, stripy pyjamas and all. Apparently TV executives heard about it and did a u-turn on their plans for a new show with him. Not sure if it's true. Tragic if it is.

Funny and crude is OK but crude isn't funny on its own. Can't stand the bloke. Tries to appeal to the lowest common denominator as far as I can make out. Not clever at all.

No doubt a thousand people will now tell me how wrong I am. It's probably just 'cause I'm over 15.

Yeah I heard that as well - think it was for channel 5. Ive managed to get most of his old tv shows (Pallbearers review, People versus) from torrent sites.

FB Is playing Glasgow in March (which is probably part of the Glasgow Comedy Festival). I assume JS will be doing his yearly show then as well

Blatant publicity seeking by Sado-wits on the back of FB's coat tails. Maybe he's tired of being second rate and unknown for so long?
#26
love him, heat added :)

I wouldn't be as small minded as to tell you that you are wrong, however I think it's pretty condescending to imply that every fan must be a teenager giggling everytime that Frankie says a rude word!
I'm 33 years old and I love him. Why? Because he's funny, because although he's Scottish (like me) he's not afraid to poke fun at his own country, because he says the things a lot of people think but are too polite to say.
Each to their own don'tca think?! :whistling:

I hate being Scottish. We're the lowest of the fecking low, the scum of the earth, the most wretched, servile, miserable, pathetic trash that was ever shat into civilization. Some people hate the English, but I don't. They're just [email protected] We, on the other hand, are colonized by [email protected] We can't even pick a decent culture to be colonized by. We are ruled by effete @rseholes. It's a [email protected] state of affairs and all the fresh air in the world will not make any fecking difference.
