I'm guessing so; the previous incarnation is available for £12.19 at Amazon and this version is £2.00 or more expensive elsewhere from what I can find. Not much info on HMV (surprise surprise) about it though.

Regardless, still a decent album, has some good tunes.

I remember buying it in about 1995, back when Currys (or was it Dixons?) were selling CD's, this was in Bristol.

Remember loving Frankie Goes To Hollywood when I was 8 or so, may well buy this!

Union Square music (owners of Salvo) have taken over non-North America/Japan releases of ZTT catalog. The plan is to release deluxe editions which were originally scheduled to begin in 2010. No idea if this falls into that category or not! Ordered on the offchance!

Why make sure it's in surround sound? Is this a SACD?

hope someone finds more info on this release

ordered it just incase it is something more special than the original release

list price 5.99, think I'll wait for it coming out, still got the lp of it :)

Just looks like a rerelease under the new owners to be honest.
Heat added, but I'll maybe pick it up on ebay ;)

see i thought that also....

but if you hoke around you'll see they have reissued in Japan with a lot more extra tracks...

I know the OBI releases in Japan are always a lot different but here's hoping, ordered can cancel if I find out its the same as the LP (I've got the picture disc version :) ) and the cd also.

Found this on a 80's site
FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD will release a new compilation 'Frankie Say Greatest' on November 2nd to mark the 25th anniversary of the original release of their classic album 'Welcome To The Pleasuredome'. The CD/DVD release will feature all the band's hits plus new remixes of 'Relax','Two Tribes' and 'Power of Love' and original remixes.
Hope this helps
This is a classic album :)

I bought the CD release of this the first time around. I remembered being disappointed that to make it fit onto a single CD, they'd cut out a couple of tracks from the double album.

I wonder if this release includes those tracks? Maybe on a second disc of remixes?

It'll be interesting to see what's included.

this looks awesome FGTH rocked back in the day nostalgic trip for me gotta get it

And this has as much to do with FGTH as they did originally. Obviously Trevor Horn needs some money.

Those tracks were reinserted on every subsequent reissue CD.

Hopefully this will also include 'One September Monday' and 'One February Friday' as per the Repertoire release

Disneyland...

the song that should have been their FOURTH Number 1... instead they released Welcome to the Pleasuredome (a fresh unknown track would have def went to No 1)

hopefully they release it on this cd... have it on vinyl but not CD :( excellent track

just realised I have it on the Twelve Inches CD :) playing now
